Answer: I added a photo of the box of parts to my review, you can read the dimensions. There are no screws of length 0.5 mm (that number seems suspiciously small). The shortest screw is 2.4mm. Although it is not stated, I believe the dimensions are # threads per mm, diameter and length, and one of the screws is oddly labeled "screw tip" but it looks like a 1mm dia screw. By the way if a screw is too long it might still work, it just will project through the bottom hole in your lens frame; imperfect but better than a broken pair of glasses.
