Question:	How wide and thick at the tip of bar
Answer:	no. to close the case on a submariner, you need a specialized tool to unscrew the back. it is a special fitted wrench.
Question:	What kind of metal is this made out of
Answer:	Not sure what "high pressure" means to you, but I had 2 ladies watches - a Movado and a Bulova that I could not close manually no matter how hard I tried. This watch press closed them both in seconds. The closing pressure depends entirely on the strength you have in pressing the lever. I had no problem with the two I closed. I also changed the batteries in all my grandkids watches - no problems closing them, either.

Answer:	The gap is 17.16 mm with the dies on and 28mm without.
Question:	What is the max weight handling
Answer:	I used it on mine (Diesel adz7069) and it worked. I made sure the contact points of the die on the watch face were on the metal and picked a die for the back that was just a little bigger than being inscribed within the back piece. That is, it hit all the midpoints of the square. That being said, it's not like it's a $500 watch, and I knew I risked something going wrong. But still a WHOLE lot easier and less stressful than trying to do it without a watch press.

Answer:	Oval, maybe depending on the size. Rectangular? Doubtful, the press has several plasitic pads to support the watch while pressing, all are round. You could ask the company if they could provide a rectangular pad. Without the proper pad, I would be afraid to try it.

Answer:	Yes it can! Just replaced the crystal on my Orient Ray II with a new double dome sapphire crystal using this press and it was a breeze! Just have to be careful as the dies are plastic and not silicone.

Answer:	It should work. The crystal is probably smaller than than the case. Find the concave die to fit the crystal then use the largest flat die to press the back into place. Hope that helps you.
