Answer:	I didn't know the answer to your question because I have been using them for etching and grinding metal. So, I was curious and just now took a small piece of green calcite put it in a tray of water and successfully drilled a 1.5 mm hole in it with one of the small cylinder shaped (second from left) diamond burs from this 20 piece set. It's not super fast but it definitely works. Also, I had previously used that same bur for grinding a steel washer. The only problem is, now my daughter wants me to make her a set of green calcite earrings. Hope that helps! George in NJ

Answer:	Yes, it will fit in a drill. I used it in my drill press also. In drilling a hole in glass I kept putting a little water on the area as it was cutting and used a slower rotating speed. I also don't use much pressure.

Answer:	I have used this punch set to cut 31cal to 50cal flintlock rifle wads and patches in such materials as .015 pillow ticking, cloth, cork, leather, felt, soft craft rubber, card board, fiber board with out any problems. Use old magazine as a cutting board and hard rubber hammer so not to to damage punches. Have cut hundreds of wads and patches and only had to lightly go over the punches with a mill basted file nothing stays sharp for ever. You be the judge.

Answer:	It may sound contrary to popular opinion but NOT having a storage compartment for extra blades is one of my favorite features of this knife. The extra thickness required for the storage compartment would ruin some of my favorite features of this knife - the comfort, feel, balance, and especially ease and quality of cutting. I've never liked those thick handles on box cutters that contain the extra blades. No other tool I use carries its bits, blades, etc. in the tool, so why have them in a utility knife? I keep extra blades for this where I keep all my other bits and blades, so they're easy to get when needed. Plus with the break-off blade, you break off the end rather than replace the blade until you go through all 8 pieces. So blade replacement is infrequent.

Answer:	I have three Olaf knives..all with different blades/sizes. So your knife should say what size it uses, or you can cross reference using the blade info. But if your knife is 18mm it will fit.

I haven't tried that, but I don't see why it wouldn't. They do make heavier blades for this knife, so that might help. Because the break away style of the blade, you need to be careful with any tough cutting job to not have too much blade exposed or it becomes easier to snap off. I have snapped the blade segments off a number of times with difficult materials. I like this brand of knife so much more than the cheap big box store varieties I used to use.

Answer:	The Olfa 5004 L-2 knife uses Olfa (and most other) 18mm replacement blades.

Answer:	The screw is brass, located through the center of the locking knob. The blade itself is held by a plastic tab on the locking slider. If you are looking for a blade that is held only by metal screws or tabs, this isn't for you. I do think it's one of the best utility knifes available. I use two of them.

Answer:	I just slip the used section of the blade out past the surrounding metal and lock in place. Cover with a piece of paper or fabric and push the blade into a hard surface such as a table, to snap it off.
