Answer:	At 67, bony areas of my face (nose, top cheekbones, and forehead) are shiny to begin with. This cover mattes everything, but those areas still appear shiny in daylight. I use a bit of powder and brush it off with a dry washcloth and that seems to work. To summarize, I don't think it will make your face shiny, but if you have shiny areas, it won't change the level of shiny-ness much.

Answer:	I was in the cosmetics business and "hypoallergenic" is a slippery word. It means fewer allergens, not no allergens, and somebody can be allergic to any ingredient. That said, this is a lovely product that provides moisture, sunscreen and a little color in one light liquid. It doesn't irritate my sensitive skin, so that's saying a lot for it.
