Answer:	All types of these cutters are similar in design. You hold them by the plastic handle, not anything else. I don't see how you could cut your finger, but I guess anything is possible. The only exposed blade extend past the end of the blade holder. I rarely extend it past 2 sections, and usually it's just one.
