Question: I can see that the fork separates, but I am wondering if it's difficult to clean? Like will food or other gunk get trapped in the handle
Answer: Likely not per the TSA regardless of how small it is, you are not allowed to carry any knife into the cabin of a plane. The fact that is actually a sharpened blade classifies it as a knife thus it disqualifies it from being approved to be a carry-on.
Question: Where is this made
Answer: I would say no because the plastic of the handle is not strong enough for the blade. The slightest bit of pressure and the blade breaks through the handle.
Question: Will the knife pass through security at an airport? (can I carry it in my carry-on luggage
Answer: Not sure

User questions & answers

Question: How well does a Case Sod Buster (Not the Jr.; dimensions: 4 5/8" long, 1 3/16" wide, 17/32" thick) fit in this sheath
Answer: "Therapeutic" grade is a marketing term but we use it to depict the quality of the oil. It can be used for health and wellness and contains no additives or alcohol. The lavender comes from Romania which is of the utmost quality due to the growing area of the plants.
Question: can the sheath be placed on a belt both vertical and horizontal
Answer: No. Therapeutic grade oils are not safe to ingest. I would buy raw cardamom seeds from your grocery and grind them into a light powder if you want to use them in chocolate. The aromatics are better anyways. Roast them in a pan before you grind them for a rich aroma.
Question: why are the dimensions of the sheath not specified
Answer: We are not certified by the FDA as Food Grade. Our official stance on the ingestion of essential oils is this: β€œAll of our Essential Oils are 100% pure free from any chemicals or pesticides and are ingestible. However, we do not recommend the ingestion of any essential oils. They are highly concentrated and have the capacity to cause serious damage if used internally without the necessary expertise required in administering it. This is supported by the International Federation of Aromatherapists.”
Question: Is this the right pouch for a Victorinox SwissChamp
Answer: Going by the Scientific name: Elettaria cardamomum on my bottle...that refers to the green cardamom, I hope this helps!

User questions & answers

Question: How do i get it engraved
Answer: I did a little research and could find mention of Bulgaria as country of origin, but I could not find anything definitive. So, I don't know and the company site didn't say.
Question: Is this made in the U.S.A
Answer: I would not drink this. Since essential oils aren't fda regulated there is no way to know what is in this; they can say 100% pure but there is no way to verify that. Ameo is the only oil company that has clinical grade oils, is NSF certified (which means they have a third party auditing their factory to assure they are actually doing everything they claim) and they provide batch specific purification test results. That's the only way to know that the oil is actually 100% pure lavender oil. Ameo lavender oil doesn't expire, I don't know about this brand. Try Amezingooils.myameo.com

Maybe it’s because they’re crafted in Bradford, PA.

- 160 steps: Each knife takes over 160 manufacturing processes to complete.

- Hand-Crafted: Every knife is hand crafted by the most skilled artisans in the business.

Quality Craftsmanship is in the Details

Case's commitment to quality is evident in the many pairs of hands that it takes to create just one knife. Case knives start with carefully shaped handles made from a wide range of genuine materials like cattle bone, stag antler, buffalo horn, mother-of-pearl, exotic woods and stones. Brass, nickel, and silver components highlight each form, bringing together knives that are not just beautiful, but able to stand the tests of time and use.

Different Sizes

Our lockbacks come in three different sizes.

1) X-Small - 2.5 inches.

2) Small - 3 - 3.25 inches.

3) Medium - 3.75 inches.

Blade Options

Locking Mechanism

Comfortable and Portable

The slim design is perfect for a pocket or purse.

Care Tips for Case Knives

Tru-Sharp Stainless Steel (SS) is a special high-carbon steel that helps the blades hold an edge. It also offers extraordinary blade strength and corrosion resistance.

Chrome Vanadium (CV) blades are known for their edge-holding ability and easy re-sharpening. However, they are less resistant to rusting, pitting and discoloration than stainless steel. We recommend keeping a thin film of oil on the blade to maintain the finish.

Sharpening

Blades are honed at an inclusive angle of 35Β° - 45Β° from the factory. Maintaining a constant angle, hold the blade 17Β° - 22Β° from the surface of a sharpening stone and stroke the blade as if shaving a thin layer from the stone. Repeat the stroking motion along the entire edge of the blade starting at the blade heel and working to the tip. Turn the blade over and repeat the process.

Cleaning

Using a small drop of oil, wipe down the joints, blades, and handles. The inside of knife can be cleaned with cotton-tipped swabs and wooden tooth picks. To remove any adhesive tape on your knife, apply nail polish remover or lighter fluid to a soft cloth to easily remove the residue. Rusting may occur to older knives. Rust spots on older knives should be oiled well and the knife should be allowed to sit for a few days. Carefully, scrape away the rust spot with the tip of a sharp, stiff knife.

Our Recommendation

Case Honing Oil.

This honing oil is made especially for re-sharpening knives. The main features of this honing oil are: protect the sharpening stone, carry away debris, and produce a keen edge on a metal blade such as a knife.

User questions & answers

Question: Does this case hold an edge or need sharpened after each use
Answer: The difference is how they process the coconut oil. Virgin coconut oil (the kind we traditionally eat and is solid at room temperature) is cold-pressed. Fractionated coconut oil has been heated. The process eliminates some of the coconut odor (which I Love) and some other elements. I personally would apply virgin coconut oil to wounds because I believe it still has many of its healing properties.
Question: What if it has a XX on it? Does that give an age of it
Answer: There are some charts on the Internet with dilution ratios. Here is 1 site: https://www.naha.org/explore-aromatherapy/about-aromatherapy/methods-of-application/Just do a google search for dilution ratios for essential oils. .. You'll find more info.
Question: Hello... why does it say this knife if built n bradford, pa united states but then int he description says imported? thank you
Answer: Well I sometimes pour a tiny amount of coconut oil in the palm of my hand and a drop of doterra essential oil and mix then apply it topically. I also buy glass roller ball containers and put it various mixes of doterra essential oils then fill the container to the top with coconut oil. The coconut oil helps tone down the doterra essential oils so I can apply them topically to my sensitive skin and my kids skin. I look for roller ball recipes online like on Pinterest or I ask one of my up lines what they do. I'm not sure what you mean by how to keep separate but you should always keep essential oils in some kind of glass container because it can leach into plastic and the oil will linger. Once you mix the coconut oil with an essential oil I'm not aware of any way to seperate them. hope that helps!
Question: what is the length
Answer: Lavender is safe to put directly on skin but it is always advisable to do a test patch on the tender part of the arm. If you have a reaction then dilute the oil. It depends on what the use is as to what carrier oil to recommend as each carrier oil differs. Usually a jojoba or apricot oil is good for overall skin.

Repeat the stroking motion along the entire edge of the blade starting at the blade heel and working to the tip. Turn the blade over and repeat the process.

Cleaning Your Case Knife

Using a small drop of oil, wipe down the joints, blades, and handles. The inside of knife can be cleaned with cotton-tipped swabs and wooden tooth picks. To remove any adhesive tape on your knife, apply nail polish remover or lighter fluid to a soft cloth to easily remove the residue. Rusting may occur to older knives. Rust spots on older knives should be oiled well and the knife should be allowed to sit for a few days. Carefully, scrape away the rust spot with the tip of a sharp, stiff knife.
