It starts at 12 close to the nose, then 10, then 8, then 6, and then 14 closest to the cutters. These are the solid sizes, the stranded is 1 size smaller through the range, obviously. The srtippers I recieved were marked 45-618, which is Ideal's model number.

Answer:	This is a great tool but, I have not tried it on teflon insulated wire. My guess would be yes.
Question:	sso I just got these and they look great but there is a litle plastic piece and some screws included? no explanation ? what are they for
Answer:	It is a preset. So if you are putting in a bunch of the same thing (like plug ins, light switches, a specific end piece, etc) then it makes quick work of measuring out the length you need to strip off.
Question:	Where are these made
Answer:	They are warrantied out of Pomona California. They make a lot of hand and air tools as well and I believe you will be happy with them ! The dies on the various sizes are precision and sharp & retract smooth! I had a pair similar to these that came from radio shack in the late 60's and they are similar but much smoother and don't snag the wire. Question:	What is the minimum strip length? Can it strip 2mm of insulation
Answer:	The blue slider in the tool jaw is marked in graduations with 8 and 10mm numerically designated. I have cut 24awg tinned silicon wire insulation as short as 2mm by ignoring the stop. Overall, I am working this tool a lot and stripping tasks are easier. Squeeze firmly and periodically clean the cut insulation from the cutter for best results.

Answer:	Certain gauge wire? Smallest I have stripped has been 24 gauge.....

Answer:	I am not sure if they sell replacement blades. However, the tool does a good job of adjusting to wire size. I use them on a variety of with sizes from 14-22 with no problems
