Answer:	I had in a plastic storage container ot bring water to almost boiling however it never burned through. I really don't think it would adequately heat a large pool since you can submerge it up to the box the coils are surrounded by a medal around with holes to outlet heat more like protection to prevent burning and never leave plugged in while in water.

The Measured operating current by me on the Heater probe I received from Amazon was 8 Amps ... at 125 Vac = 1000 Watt. It takes approximately 20 minutes to heat a 5 Gallon water bucket to a temperature that is slightly hot to the touch. Typical Hot Tub = 300 to 450 gals Gallons ..... divided by 5 Gallons x 20 minutes = 20 hours to 30 hours. Cold Water starting temperature was approximately 60 F.

Answer:	Because a metal tub could conduct electricity (through the water) and create a grounding fault. Also, if you have a metal tub you could induce galvanic corrosion and damage the heating element and the tub.

Answer:	I would fill enough water to completely imerse the unit before plugging in. Important: use a GFI outlet (modern bathrooms meet code) for safety. Unplug unit before entering water. Time to reach desired water temperature will depend on starting water temperature, volume of water to heat. 10 gallons from 78 degrees should take 15 minutes to reach 105 degrees. Answer:	I have only ran it in a 5 gallon bucket and it has the water boiling in it in just minutes.

Answer:	It is not built well enough to guarantee that it is completely electrically insulated from the water. You could get a shock, though i haven’t yet. If you were to soak in a tub with this thing on, it could give you a prolonged shock that can kill, similat to a hair dryer dropped in a tub.
