Answer:	You can use it for that, but old caulk can be very stubborn and messy to remove. Better to try something with a thinner and sharper blade, but be careful not to damage surrounding areas(i.e. tub edge, fingers etc.).

Answer:	Yes, this will work for scraping paint off metal, but make sure you buy a stiff blade, the stiff blades are made for scraping, the flex blades for patching holes. Answer:	The holder has a slide button with three soft lock positions. 1. FULLY RETRACTED- blade is tucked away. 2. SCRAPER POSITION- blade is exposed to perform scraping tasks. 3. FULLY EXTENDED- in this position, the blade holder exposes a slot that corresponds to the profile of a razor blade. The razor blade will slide sideways into its position of the holder- from that position, it can be moved to either the scraper position or fully retracted for storage.
