User questions & answers

Question: Does this paint pump have pressure control
Answer: China
Question: Which model is this graco pro21es? the model17c305pro or the newer model 17d163pro? & what is the difference between the two models? ty
Answer: The brushes seem to have very soft bristles and should be fine to use with polyurethanes. However, you still may get brush marks left over so use caution anytime you’re brushing on Poly.
Question: Can I use oil base primer
Answer: You’re joking right? Clean them with the appropriate solvent for the pant you are using (usually turpentine) until completely clean after every use, reform the brush into the correct shape, sit them on a towel you only use for painting or triple folded paper towels on a paper plate on your counter out of the way until dry than store them either laying safely FLAT where nothing will bother them or upright in something like an empty coffee can out of the way where nothing will mess up its form. Refrigerator..smh..
Question: Can a lacquer sealer be sprayed with this machine
Answer: No refund for you!

User questions & answers

Question: Will this fit my graco sprayer 190es
Answer: No. Press on nails should just pop off.
Question: Es compatible con Nova
Answer: Absolutely. You need to file down a product (dipping powder) to a thin layer first.
Question: Will this fit a graco ultra max
Answer: Who cares. It’s useless
Question: Hi this item fits to my titan 440 impact
Answer: I wouldn't re-buy this item. First step is to remove top coat.. Then apply. It does work. But u have to apply...scrape...apply..scrape 4-5x. I personally am going to move on to a peel able base coat
Question: Will this work on a wood garage door to remove marine polyurethane
Answer: No. The way you describe is how it’s suppose to be. Rough up the top layer of polish, brush on a fair amount to cover entire surface of nail with polish, wait about 3 minutes and use orange stick to remove. It works really well.
Question: Is this stripper safe to use to remove paint from a fiberglass boat
Answer: I did...first time.. Took about an hour with repeated layers
Question: Is it supposed to dry? I’m used to paint strippers remaining wet and dry usually spells disaster
Answer: You have to file off the gel top coat before using it. It’s nothing like a polish so don’t expect it to act like one. Once your top coat is filed off you dab the remover on the gel polish. Yes it’s supposed to be thick. I’ve been using this for over a year now, it’s great.
Question: Can you stain the wood after using this
Answer: No

User questions & answers

Question: what size fan tip is this
Answer: X5 comes with a 515, and has a Max Tip Size of .015" (i.e. 215, 315, 415, 615). It is not recommended you use a tip size higher than .015 due to the HP & Amps not being sufficient for proper flow rate & application -- putting a larger tip size does not ensure proper application, and MOST on-the-shelf latex paint will go through a .015 tip, with the pressure adjusted accordingly. HAPPY SPRAYING!
Question: can it be used on 240 volts power supply
Answer: US 220/240 volt is a dual line split phase - therefore if you need 110volt you only use one load line instead of both along with the neutral or common and a ground line. So in the US you could but would need an adapter line made to your 220 plug. In Europe they use a single phase / single load line and if this machine were used there it would require a power converter (rated to at least 1500 watts continuous) to step the voltage down from their 220v to the machines 110v.
Question: What is the difference between this Graco X5 model and the Graco Magnum LTS
Answer: There is a difference. The X5 base (the legs) is metal. The LTS 15 has a plastic base.
Question: Has anyone actually used the 0.017-inch tip on the Graco x5 model with exterior latex paint? Home Depot says must use 0.015" tip or else it will clog
Answer: Graco says max tip orifice size for this unit is 0.015, which is based on the flow rate of their standard finish tips. Just make sure the unit's flow rate (x5 is 0.27 GPM) meets or exceeds the rated flow rate of the tip you're buying to be sure. You can go up to 0.016 with the x5 if you're using Graco's Fine Finish tips since the currently available 516 and 616 fine-finish (green) tips are rated at 0.27 GPM (which matches the x5's output capacity). Also, you *must* check the data sheet for the paint you'll be using to ensure you're using the right tip orifice size. For example, Sherwin-Williams Emerald exterior acrylic satin (K48 series) specifies a tip size of 0.015 - 0.019 for airless spray application. Note that the maximum recommended tip size for this unit is also the minimum tip size required for the Emerald paint, so in this scenario, you *must* use 0.015 and nothing else. Any smaller will clog and any larger will result in a poor paint finish with ugly trails at the top and bottom of the spray pattern because the sprayer won't be able to maintain a high enough pressure to atomize the paint properly.

User questions & answers

Question: Will this run off 220 volt? ( I will be purchasing in U.S. but using at home in the Philippines
Answer: No! It has a 120VAC motor. You would need a transformerr to drop the voltage from 220 to 120. Also, you probably also have 50 Hertz AC power while these are designed to run at 60 Hertz (used to be called "cycles"). If that's the case, buy paint rollers and brushes!
Question: Can you spray stain blocker
Answer: I've used this sprayer with KILZ stain blocker, you may have to add some FLOOD paint thinner but pay attention to how much you add to the size of can you are using, and only if your sprayer does not spray well with the stain blocker off the shelf. Also consider using a different tip if you don't get the results you desire.
Question: What do you recommend to clean it if someone forgot to clean it out after using it? Mineral spirits
Answer: Totally depends on paint used. Water for latex, mineral spirits or paint thinner for oil based, or lacquer thinner for lacquer based metal paints.
Question: Is the hose included? Can't believe the specs don't say. If it is included, what is the length of the hose in the box? Thank you
Answer: The hose is NOT 100' long it is shipped with a 25' hose. The unit is designed to allow use of 100' of hose. The wheels will not let the unit roll around freely without tilting it back first so they are not the problem on a scaffold. That said, I would still discourage putting the pump on a scaffold.

User questions & answers

Question: Does this sprayer work with lacquers
Answer: Do not use flammable materials with this sprayer.
Question: Does this sprayer work with solvent primers
Answer: No. This sprayer is compatible with non-flammable coatings that can be cleaned with water or 100% mineral spirits. Thanks
Question: How do you paint orange peel with this
Answer: I used it to paint very rough stucco and it worked very well -- I would recommend you get a much smaller nozzle. It comes with a 515 tip which I found put out way too much paint. I bought several sized tips and found the 311 put out a fine enough spray that I was able to spray from a couple of angles and directions without putting on so much paint that it would run. The result was very good coverage, even into the nooks and crannies of the hand textured stucco. As a sprayer, I was very pleased with the ease-of-use and features of the unit. It was even easier to clean up than I expected. No regrets with this purchase.
Question: can I have 200 feet of hose with this
Answer: max is 150 feet ,U will have a pressure drop.
