Answer:	No reason why it shouldn't, as long as the existing latex is free of moisture, dust, grease, or other things that would prevent the new paint from sticking and as long as the existing latex paint is well adhered to the surface. I'll caution you about using metallic paint on walls in general, though. First, it's oil based and gives off very strong fumes, so ventilate, ventilate, ventilate. These fumes are very hazardous to your health. Second, if you paint all the walls of a room with a metallic paint, the light will bounce from wall to wall, changing the look from metallic gold to brown and every brush or roller stroke will show. I have used metallic gold and metallic silver paints as the base coat for decorative paints that were then sponged or stamped over them, leaving just some of the metallic showing through as you'd get with a foil wallpaper. The effect is great. It will take about a month after applying the latex over the metallic for it to thoroughly adhere. Until then, be careful not to scratch it as it will peel pretty easily.

Answer:	Even though this oil based enamel is made to be used on metal, it will stick to clean dry concrete, which is dried cement . I know this because I had some drip onto a sidewalk while painting something else two years ago, and the paint is still there.

Answer:	You will need a primer if the wood is bare. It resists moisture, thus preventing rust, but is not for immersion. If you need extra water proofing, I would seal the wood with something especially for that purpose. However, I am not truly experienced in this area, so do check with someone else. I got this paint for my metal balcony chairs. I only used it on my wood table so far and it has sealed perfectly through this past Pennsylvania winter.
Question:	Does this item contain Alkyds
Answer:	This is oil based enamel is for use on metal. As far as I can see, the label does not mention alkyds anywhere. It does say: Warning :Contains Petroleum Distillates. Vapor harmful. May affect the brain or nervous system...blah blah blah... Use only with adequate ventilation. " And also: "Unleaded- Safe for use on children's toys, furniture, etc Max VOC<500 g/l. Answer:	Not sure what your application is for. Very rough, stone- like texture/ finish.
Question:	Can i use this paint on the top of a sheet metal gas spa heater? it gets hot but i was planning to apply rust-oleum high heat primer first
Answer:	It does not say do not use on heat related but it does have acetone in it so I would wait 48 hours to dry so there is no danger of flash if its for indoor use I would heat it up out side first to see what happened. I hope this helps.

Answer:	Yes. I used it on stucco (side of my home) and it worked fine. Not the best coverage, so get a little extra.
Question:	Will this adhere to powder coated steel? I have a smooth black railing. Would love a color
Answer:	Is the surface glossy? If glossy I would lightly sand then wash, prime and then at least a couple coats of paint. If it’s not glossy I would clean it well then prime and at least 2 coats of paint. I used to work in the paint department of a lumberyard and learned a lot about the importance of proper paint prep. It makes a huge difference. It may take longer but it will save you a lot of work down the road as your paint job will hold up much, much longer.

Question:	Does anyone have a review of this product for INDOOR USE as it is intended rather than complaints about OUTDOOR USE that it is NOT intended for? Gah
Answer:	I used it for a night time cityscape mural indoors about 5 years ago. I'd read several reviews at the time, so I looked the directions over carefully before using it. There are some tricks to getting it to work. First, you have to paint a bright color (like white or yellow) underneath it. I think I used at least 2-3 coats underneath as I was painting over a black surface. Then I probably used another 2-3 coats of this paint over the top of the white/yellow undercoat. The lighting in the rooms were old standard florescent bulbs, and it would take about 30min of lights on to get it to glow when you turned them off. I would guess the effect lasts about a third of the amount of time that you had the lights on, so if the light is on an hour, it fades out after 20 minutes. It is still working fine about 5 years later.
