Answer:	Other than the battery, the other compartment is for an RS-232 interface. This interface is for programming &/or data acquisition, proprietary interfaces that only the manufacturer have.

Answer:	Yes, you can. Measure the diameter of the nut from one flat side to the opposite flat side. That will be the size of the nut.

Answer:	The smallest inside will depend how deep you go, but close to surface I would say 1mm or even less. It goes up to 150mm.

Question:	My boyfriend works with wood a lot and is always trying to find the perfect angle, is it a nice mens gift for his birthday
Answer:	Should be fine. Fingers measure 1.40mm wide. I did a check to profle 2 fingers and no sharp edges were felt. As for binding hold at the edges. If you squeeze in the middle the fingers get trapped.

Answer:	I find it needs a lock- luckily I ordered two different types and I won’t order another without a lock - Wish I saw this before I orderd it! Mine is extremely loose and useless in my opinion.. I was giving it a second chance - It wasn’t worth it.... I hope it’s not put for sale again...

Answer:	Two of the 10-inch gauges can absolutely be joined together. This is confirmed vis the picture on the this page. It also says so on the manufacturer's website: "Two tools can be combined when 20” base is needed". I do not know if the 6-inch gauge can be joined or not but I could not find it mentioned on the manufacturer's website. So, the answer depends upon which gauge you mean by "it".
