Answer:	The handles and the drawers come separately and we need to screw the handles to the drawers when installing. I am no expert but it appears to me that it’s ok to screw or even glue some other handles to the drawers.

Answer:	Not, in my opinion. The arm needs to have enough depth (distance from top of arm to the underside of arm) for the spring loaded "plates" to grip the arm (5-6 inches best) and hold the tray from slipping around. Most futon frames I've seen are only 2-3 inches thick. Note: I have not tried to use the tray on a wood frame "sofa".
