Answer:	If you are looking at the same lights as I am (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZZNVKKV?ref_=pe_527950_33920290_dpLink ) it doesn't say it is rechargeable. It works as a regular night light normally and if the power goes off it will switch to AA batteries and keep the night lite on. The article says the batteries have a life of about 250 hours. Since it uses regular AA batteries they might need to be replaced probably once every year or so. I can tell you from experience that they are nice to have in case the power goes off at night. Answer:	If you consider the largest surfaces on the outside of the case, it appears that there is a thin metal plate surrounded by a plastic frame which is part of the construction of the keyboard half of the assembly and the iPad mount on the other half of the case. I’ve had mine for a fairly long time and I must say there are many advantages. It is a little bit weighty but that fact is way down the quality list considering how useful the case is in my view. The keyboard battery lasts a really long time based on my usage and I think I type when I need to and poke the screen when that’s more convenient. It’s an especially fine addition to my iPad.
