Answer:	Before you proceed with the return process, try pressing the button on the bottom of the lantern one (1) time to switch its' state. The switch may actually be in the OFF state. Even if this the case, it should have still charged the lantern but would fail to light as it became dark outside. After pressing this switch and simply covering the solar panel to simulate night, the lantern should now light up. If it still fails to work you may want to try charging again as I may be wrong as to charging operation with the switch in OFF state. After this, if it still fails the lantern is definitely bad and should be returned. As to returning all four or just the one I would contact Amazons' customer service. They may allow you to return just the faulty item for replacement or require you to return the entire set - it's their option. They might(?) even replace it without returning the original product - as they did for me on a completely different item - due to return shipping cost verses the cost of product being replaced.

Answer:	Yes. As long as they have sun later in the day, they work. I have had them for a long time And they come on every single night when it gets dark.
