Question:	Can they be set up on a timer through an app
Answer:	They are LED and do not put out much heat. We just used them for an outdoor wedding that got evacuated due to the threat of the Ventura County Fire. While we waited for others to leave to free our cars, we took down as much of our lights as possible. After being on for 8-10 hours, we were able to unscrew each light without any risk of burn.
