SENS (Detection Range) Rotate the dial clockwise to increase the sensor range, to a maximum of 40FT with a 120° angle.

Answer:	You should determine the rod length based on the width of the window, rather than the curtains. A good rule of thumb is to make sure the rod (pole, not including finials) is at least capable of extending 2 inches wider than the outside of the window frame on both sides. I usually mount mine 4 inches outside the frame because it gives better light coverage at night. I find that these curtains drape most attractively with windows 35-45 inches wide, but one set also works sufficiently for a 50 inch wide window in my house. I used the adjustable-width rods for 33"-66" capacity with these curtains and it works fine. If you want fuller draping on windows 50"+, you may want to see how you like the look with one set, and then decide you want to put four panels across the window instead of two.

Answer:	It means you get 1 panel/piece and most windows need 2! So to put the curtians up on your window will be $40 instead of $20 which you need to know if your working with a budget. Fortunatley the curtains are very nice, love the material, the blackout feature works very well and each panel comes with a tie back in case you like that look. Even though I had to spend more than expected and was a little put off that they require you to buy the panels in eaches instead of a set like most other retailers, they are beautiful and expensive looking so $40 is still a steal!
