Answer:	There is no separate base. You can simply put this idem on a shelf under TV.
Question:	I have a problem with my current flood light---it turns off too quickly, apparently getting ambient light reflected from my nearby RV camper. Ideas
Answer:	Yes. If your TV has a headphone jack, you can plug it in there and still adjust the sound with the TV remote. However, if the TV has a built in equalizer like my Sony does, I wouldn't recommend it. The sound will only be slightly better than you get with the TV speakers. If the TV has a plug for a digital optical audio cable, it would probably be better sound, but you would lose the ability to adjust the sound with the TV remote. You would have to use the remote that comes with the sound base to adjust the sound. Quite frankly, the remote that comes with the sound base is trash and I don't know how long it would last if you actually had to use it.
Question:	When set on dusk to dawm can it bright up when motion is detected and ho back to dusk to dawn after no motion detected
