TEST MODE

The sensor will detect movement and the light will activate regardless of the time of day. After movement has stopped or left the coverage area, the light will remain on for about 5 seconds, then turn off.

SECURITY MODE

At dusk, the motion sensor becomes active. Any movement within the coverage area will cause the light to turn on.

At dawn, the motion sensor will deactivate and remain deactivated throughout the day. The movement will not cause the light to turn on.

DISTANCE

Adjust the “DISTANCE” to L, M, or H.

In the default H setting, the fixture will detect the max range, approximately 70 ft.

Answer:	This unit is designed to be installed wall mounted. It can be mounted on the ceiling but it will not be effective. It will defeat the purpose. I do not recommend it to be installed in the ceiling
Question:	What is life expectancy of sensor part? They seem to go bad after a year
Answer:	Life expectancy is rather poor. Replaced one that failed (mounted in a dry location no less) in the fall then had to replace it again the following summer ~10 months. The careful observer of this product will notice that Heath Zenith reduced their warranty on their "dual bright" motion sensors from what was originally 10 years to 2 years if that tells you anything.

Answer:	Its an outdoor fixture..so, yes it is made to take outdoor weather however it must be installed properly. Now, with that being said; I have been using this brand for over twenty years and some will last 3 years others 10 years...Its generally the motion sensor portion that will fail!! Hope this helps..
Question:	does this light come on at night when activated, and not in the daytime
Answer:	The light only activates at night and not during the day - unless it is really overcast.You can make your sensitive and distance adjustments during the day - and the light does not come on but you will se a small red light blink instead - to let you know when the light would come on.I really like these lights, I have used 3 of them for many, many years and only recently just replaced 2 of them - the plastic covering over the sensor eventually gets brittle and cracks when you press on it - but the rest of the unit will hold up forever.

Answer:	We have only had ours mounted a few months but did have some snow a few days and they still worked great. No difference than warmer weather.

Answer:	Thanks for leaving your question on our Led Security Light . The degrees of detection on the motion sensor is 180 degrees.
Question:	I lost my directions right off the bat. How to set the light up for motion detection? On my old one I turned it on, then off for a 20 seconds then on
Answer:	This is the process I go through with this kind of issue: 1. Verify power at the light and that all connections are good (this can be done through test equipment or by hooking up a known working electrical device such as another fixture). 2. Check the switch settings to see if it is still in test mode or something. 3. Adjust the placement of the sensor. 4. Check to see if it is pointed towards water (like a pool) or a white or shiny surface (this can mess up the ir sensor). 5. Contact vendor for any wierd conditions unique to the fixture (such as requiring that the ground wire be hooked up, a connected common wire, etc...)(I don't remember that there are any for this fixture but this part of my checklist).

Answer:	I have the same problem . I think that is the way it is . try adjusting the sensitivity level or removing the lanterns . have to rethink priority for which lighting is more important .
