Answer:	Its actually pretty easy to remove, but Nathan didn't make it obvious. If you push the fabric inwards where the "Gray clip' is attached to the waist pack you'll notice two tabs with a gap in between. The gap is not easy to see, but if you continue to push the fabric material inwards towards the middle of the "Gray Clip" you can simply slide it off the tabs that are holding the"Gray Clip' in place with no need to break or cut it off. The Clip is definitely there for retail display purposes only. Hope this helps!

However, because the material of the pouch is light-weight, and zippered, I'm sure the bulge and outline of a pistol could readily be seen.
