Answer:	No. It is self contained. You charge the internal battery with a small cable. You can tell when it is fully charged. I usually charge it once a week depending on how much I use it. Maybe you could leave the charging cable plugged in--I have not tried using it that way. But there is NO timer.

Question:	Is this light supposed to work when unplugged from the charging cable? Mine has been charging for two days, both the red and green light stay lit up
Answer:	Mine stays charged for days and days. It takes a few hours to fully charge. When the light is green it’s fully charged. There could be a problem with yours. Make sure the cable is all the way into the light.
