To check whether the lamp shade fits, as shown in the last picture, the easiest way is to measure the inner diameter of the bulb socket collar ring, which is a ring screwed over a bulb socket to hold a lamp shade. (Note: collar ring is not included in this sale.) The T50 model fits if inner diameter of the ring is in the range between 1" and 1-1/2". If the inner diameter of the ring is between 1/2" and 7/8", please order the H30 model instead. A 25-cent coin, which has a diameter of ~1", can be used for the size estimation.

| Answer: | Taking your word that the larger of the two openings of the glass chimney are big enough then the heat factor may or not be a factor. I wish I could be more specific, but the one I purchased is used in an oil lamp application not an electric lamp/bulb application. Without any prior experience using electric light bulbs and this type glass chimney I could not give any recommendations beyond this. Consult the seller or manufacturer for specifics would be your best bet. |
