Answer:	Hello. I think if it is not too thick. The part that holds the key also has the dial on it. The key is held with a clip. I usually don't unclip the key. Answer:	The weight of this is very light and unsubstantial. I guess it depends on how forcefully it gets knocked off a table and if it lands on hard floors or carpeting that will cushion the fall. Other than that, the lamp itself is super cute and provides a pretty good amount of light for an accent lamp.
