Answer:	You have a good concern there. The clamp is very tight. You don't want to have it clamping into the screen surface, it needs to be clamped on the maybe 1/4" hard plastic border that surrounds most monitors. (I don't have a macbook, I'm working with larger desktop monitors attached to my Windows desktop CPU. ) And I was concerned about the narrow width of the monitor plastic border. One good accidental bump and the clamp would be digging into the display screen. I finally wound up clamping it to a shelf on my computer desk which includes shelving for a printer, modem, reference manuals, etc.

Question:	Can this be screwed into a tripod? The description shows the light being screwed into the clip. Is this the same size screw as a camera tripod
Answer:	Ask the battery manufacturer, I have batteries that use 1/4", 5/16" and others with 3/8". Generally the heavier the battery the more amps it can deliver and thus a larger stud.
Question:	Can this be clipped on imac without ruining the screen
Answer:	You also need to look at the lug on the machine you are attaching the lead to I used 2/0 lugs on a 1/0 ground cable and 2/0 lug on my stinger cable. As my lug is just under 1/2". The 1/0 lug would not work on my machine.
Question:	What is the total height of the ring, including the clip base
Answer:	A bare wire of up to 0.450" can be inserted in the tube of 2/0 lug.
