Question:	is it possible to get much shorter cord, approx 1.5-2 ft? I do not mind to buy it as a separate item
Answer:	I had the same question and just now tested. If you use a smart plug, when you turn the smart plug off (and therefore the spotlights), the smart plug will not turn the light back on, just the power to the light. So basically, unless there is a way to change settings I can’t find, you cannot control this device with a smart plug (you have to turn it on with the remote or button after you turn on the smart plug.) Total bummer. I can’t see why it is engineered this way.

Answer:	Yes and no. These (and most other LED strips) are designed to run from 12V, but most cars are in fact 13.8vdc (or higher during charging). What that means is they run hotter than designed and will burn out sooner (for the same reason). If you could limit current, the overvoltage wouldn't really matter as much or at all.

Answer:	It’s not overly bright. I have mine in the corner in my dining room and I use other lights as well. This has a single bulb so it’s equivalent to about A soft White 60 watt light. But the light itself is a very cool looking light.

Answer:	I used am old chain from the lamp i was replacing, but yes i would absolutely add more chain, i dont think it would look right unless u did, because the chain it comes with is so short

That could mean the metal hooks that u can screw into ceiling or the black plastic type hooks that u can thread the cord thru...i used both metal hooks and draped or looped it twice..buying the vintage looking thomas edison bulbs that u can see through....makes this a really cool look! Ace hardware is where i purchased the light bulbs 6.00-7.00 a piece...however, they are a little pricey but they are long lasting...

Answer:	Yes. Lamp shades with the euro style fitting work perfect! I was able to disassemble the fitting ring on my shade to turn it upside down so I can use it as a hanging shade.
