If the exhaust fan screws happen to be of the same size as those for a typical computer fan, then maybe. However, if the weight of the fan is suspended by these alone, I would be concerned about the fan falling and shorting out the electrical wires. Bottom line, probably not a good idea. |

| Answer: | I don't think the overall thickness of your fan is relevant. These fan retainers have an outer end diameter of about 7mm and they have two reduced diameter sections (RDS) before tapering down to the ~2mm insertion end diameter. The outer RDS snaps into the fan screw holes in the sheet-metal of your case. The inner RDS (about 3.6mm diameter x about 3.5mm long) is what retains the fan. So if your fan has an outer flange thickness of ~3.6mm, these should work for you. If you can't see front and back flanges, they still might work, as long as that area of the fan body is hollow, such that the body's material is ~3.6mm thick - otherwise these probably won't work. You insert them into the case from the exterior first, until the outer RDS 'pops' into the case hole. Then slide the fan over the protruding tips, and one-by one, tug on the tip until it 'pops' into the fan flange. |

I think you would have to cut out the spacers between the two side of the housing. Thats what I had to do on one of my fans. They are plenty sturdy, should have no problem w/ the weight. If you find mounts designed for closed corner fans, you wouldn't have to modify the fan. |

I'll add that you're better off going to a local hardware store or Lowes / Home Depot and getting loose screws. 6/32 threading, get a bunch of lengths so you'll have exactly what you need. This is extremely overpriced for what it is.Also, unless you absolutely have to, a pull configuration on your radiator is really not a good choice unless its both push/pull. |
