3 best westinghouse ceiling fan remotes

Westinghouse is a well-known brand that produces a variety of home appliances and electrical products, including ceiling fans and accessories. Westinghouse ceiling fan remotes are designed to provide convenient control over the fan's operation and sometimes its lighting features. Here are some general features and considerations associated with Westinghouse ceiling fan remotes:

  1. Wireless Control: Westinghouse ceiling fan remotes offer wireless control, allowing users to operate the fan and, in some cases, the integrated lighting from a distance. This convenience eliminates the need for manual adjustments.

  2. Speed and Direction Control: The remotes typically allow users to control the fan's speed settings, adjusting the airflow according to personal preference. Additionally, they may offer the ability to change the fan's direction (e.g., clockwise or counterclockwise) for seasonal efficiency.

  3. Lighting Control: If the ceiling fan has an integrated light fixture, the remote often includes controls for turning the lights on or off, adjusting brightness levels, or controlling any lighting features associated with the fan.

  4. Programmable Features: Some Westinghouse ceiling fan remotes come with programmable features, allowing users to set preferences for speed, lighting, and other functions. This can add a level of customization to the fan's operation.

  5. Compatibility: It's important to ensure that the Westinghouse ceiling fan remote is compatible with the specific model of the ceiling fan you own. Compatibility information is typically provided by Westinghouse to help users make informed decisions.

  6. Easy Installation: The remotes are designed for easy installation and setup. They often come with clear instructions, and pairing the remote with the ceiling fan is a straightforward process.

  7. Battery Powered: Westinghouse ceiling fan remotes are usually powered by batteries. It's advisable to use high-quality batteries to ensure consistent and reliable performance.

  8. Range: The remote control's range is an important consideration. Most remotes have a sufficient range to operate the fan and lights from across the room, but users should be aware of the specified range.

When purchasing a Westinghouse ceiling fan remote, it's essential to check the product specifications and compatibility information provided by the manufacturer. Additionally, reading user reviews can offer insights into the performance and durability of a particular remote model. Proper maintenance, such as changing the batteries regularly, will contribute to the reliable operation of the ceiling fan remote control.

User questions & answers

Question: Would this remote work for westinghouse 7224300 quince 24-inch gun metal indoor ceiling fan
Answer: Yes, this ceiling fan and light remote control can be used with the Quince ceiling fan. If you also are installing this fan on a sloped ceiling, you will need a ceiling fan cathedral canopy kit (item 7003100) in order for the receiver of the remote control kit to be installed properly.
Question: Wil this work (fit) with a westinghouse 7861920 oasis single-light 48-inch five-blade indoor/outdoor ceiling fan
Answer: I can't say for that specific model. How it works is there is a receiver unit that is hard wired into the dine base of your fan at the ceiling. Then the wireless remote talks to it.
Question: In the "What`s in the box" field does not say anything about including a receiver unit. Does this product come with this besides the remote control
Answer: This came with a remote and a receiver.
Question: The light has fwd / rev motor. Can you switch directions with this remote
Answer: No. You have to turn it off and reverse the switch on the side of your fan.

User questions & answers

Question: I want to purchase an extra remote.... the same kind. Will the extra remote work with the receiver
Answer: No you can not reverse the fan direction. But it does have a breeze setting.
Question: Do these have a warranty? Just tried using one for the 1st time and it doesn’t work
Answer: The receiver needs to be installed in fan. easy to install, make sure that both the remote and receiver are zinked to same number.
Question: Will this work for
Answer: No, I do not think it is. I ordered it (because the answer above said it was) and it will not pair. Looking at the pictures online, the wink compatible switch has an extra, white antenna. This unit does not.
Question: Dimable Led lights work too
Answer: This is not the fan control you are looking for if you want smart hub functionality with Wink, SmartThings or Alexa. This kit (68131) doesn't have the extra parts to pair with the network. I have the other model which IS Wink enabled (#99432). Keep in mind it uses the Zigbee protocol, which means a very short range. I put an Iris dual network plug in my bedroom to extend the mesh network, and it runs perfectly. But this one WILL NOT WORK FOR SMART HOMES.
Question: How do you reverse the rotation of the fan blades with the remote
Answer: Check with a retailer who sells the fan. It's good that you have the model #s of the fan and the unit you are asking about. I'm GUESSING that it will work. Good Luck!
Question: Is it possible to get the wall mount only for this remote
Answer: No it wires in to your light switch
Question: My remote only turns the light on /off. Can't dim the lights anymore. What can I do
Answer: Yes, pretty sure. I bought this switch for customer and I linked it to their existing transmitter.
Question: Will this work with Home Decorators collection fans
Answer: I don't know, my suggestion is to go to your local Hope Depot or Lowes and ask them.
