Answer:	The paddle is plastic, the dough hook and whisk are metal. The dough hook is die cast metal, whisk is stainless. Being rough with it and the plastic hook, it broke, but they sent me another full metal one. That doesn't reach all the way to the edges (of course, that would be rather noisy and dangerous), so I am here looking for another plastic one (and won't let Mom find it and use it to mix hard things!) I've had this over a year, not used it a ton, but it's held up way better than I expected when I purchased it. The "all plastic" note below is just plain incorrect. What, an all plastic wisk? I guess they can make it that way, but never seen such a thing on a mixer.

I still wear Hi-Tec Altitudes, though, as I still feel they are a great boot, even if they wear out quicker now. I am getting about a year and a half of almost daily wear out of the newer versions.
