Question:	How important is a water test before chosing a filter system. And is rust also called iron eating bacteria
Answer:	Rust is not iron eating bacteria. Rust is ferric oxide, which is just iron combined with oxygen. Sulfur smells from iron rich water typically come from your water heater. The bacteria thrive on the metals in sacrificial anode rod in your water heater. Once the bacteria get in the water heater, you will need a powered anode rod and an iron removing system to fix the problem. For anyone on a well with iron, I recommend the following: 1) Get a powered anode rod to replace your sacrificial anode rode in your water heater. Do the chlorine or peroxide disinfection of the heater when installing to kill the existing bacteria. 2) Get this system. You may need to use an iron reducing filter in the third canister instead of a second carbon filter if your water softener isn’t reducing your iron to 0 parts per million, and put this system after the softener using iron reducing salt. 3) replace the filters as recommended without delay. 4) add a UV light sterilizer after these filters. These steps will immediately remove the sulfur and iron smell as the bacteria won’t have iron to eat, or be sustained from the magnesium in the standard anode rod in the water heater. My water went from cloudy brown and smelly to crystal clear perfection after doing this fix.
Question:	Can i change direction of the water flow, did anyone do this. Can the gauges be moved to accommodate the change

At the time of purchase, we kindly ask if you could please leave a note to seller of your request and we will gladly accommodate your request to switch the direction of flow. If you already have the system, you may remove the (12) screws on top of the Metal Bracket. Once all (12) screws are removed, flip the Metal Bracket in the opposite way and put the (12) screws back on. You may install the Pressure Gauges after the modification. Question:	Anybody know the maximum flow rate in gallons per minute and/or the pressure drop across this (assuming new filters and 50 psi head pressure
Answer:	Depends on the filters used, pipe size and how it was installed. If you just want to know if you will have enough pressure to shower and use laundry machine or dishwasher. It will be fine as long as you don't use smaller than 3/4 inch supply in and out of this. I'd consider using pex if you want the best flow due to having much less fittings and elbows. I would say at minimum 5- 10 GPM. Hope this helps.
Question:	Does this water filter system filter Calcium
Answer:	The next model up in price range claims to remove scale and the details of that product shows it filters with poly-phosphate (scale remover) so $30 more for that extra - might be worth it as long as your’e not on well water.

Question:	Will this handle Iron bacteria as it blocks up most filters I have tried
Answer:	There is a 3 inch lip that sticks out from the back of the seat that slips under the toilet lid to help anchor it in place. I looked at ours and it extends a half inch beyond the back of the lid. Great product but perhaps not the right one for your situation.
Question:	What Media is in the Tank
Answer:	Hi Nancy! I think this should work fine for a 300-lb. person because it sits right on the toilet itself, so the weight would be absorbed by the structure of the toilet. I have not used it for this size person, but I think it would be supportive. I seem to remember it had a weight limit on the ad for it on the internet, but if not, there is certainly a company you could call to be sure. I was very happy with this toilet seat after my back surgery! I disagree with the person who said it is "tiny;" I thought it was plenty wide! Hope this helps. Ellen
