Answer:	The filter in the AquaBrick filter system will filter 700 gallons of water with bacteria in it, 550 gallons of water with Virus and 500 gallons of swimming pool water. Hope that helps. The filter media will last for many years, however the glue used in assembly will most likely only last 3 to 5. Same holds true for effectiveness once used. Answer:	It does not filter for sediment, it sterilizes bacteria. A sediment filter would be needed for particles in the water.

Answer:	When the water is not run for an hour or two, it will get pretty hot. Lot of variables can apply such as ambient temperature, incoming water temperature, air circulation around the unit, etc. Mine gets hot enough that I certainly don't want to hold on to it for very long.

Answer:	The light should be inside a glass tube. Is the glass tube breaking also. We haven't had a problem yet.

Question:	Are replacement filters available
Answer:	They ARE narrow. I want a wider size and according to the shoe size chart link, I wanted a 2E, not 4E Ultrawide, BUT Amazon Zappo's only stock the 'normal' Narrow and 4E Ultrawides. @WayneM, there is no 'half size larger' to select, apparently they don't pay attention to what people are buying and they don't bother to restock. I went ahead and ordered the D 'medium' which is actually very NARROW. The shoes came and they just fit me with the laces all the way stretched out. That said, I like them anyway - they're light and the sole is solid. The box only says size 10.5 and No width letter. And they don't show the width letter on the shoe's label either. Good shoe, not great sizing.So, Zappo's / Amazon has some work to do to avoid confusion and returns, just stock the medium wides, please. And start labeling the shoes better.

Answer:	Plants have different ph requirements, so you may want to invest in ph up and/or down with a testing kit and research which ph your plants require. My orchids require high acid but they get that with their food, I use water with a ph range 5.5 - 6.5 for my plants. :)

Answer:	The Outback filters have an indefinite shelf life if filters are left in original packaging and away from direct sunlight.
Question:	Would this remove a bleach taste from water if I have bleach added to my stored water
Answer:	Also, FYI--the Outback system can remove up to 6 ppm chlorine for up to 1,500 gallons. The higher the chlorine levels, the less overall chlorine removal capacity (in gallons) of the filter
Question:	In an emergency could it filter my swimming pool water that is a salt water system
Answer:	The Outback Plus system can filter water from pools treated by chlorine, but cannot filter out the sodium chloride in salt water pools. Removing salt from water typically requires a reverse osmosis system. If filtering chlorinated pool water, the multi-media filter will exhaust more quickly, due to the high chlorine levels in pools, and need to be replaced sooner than indicated.
