Answer:	It can be attached to a liter soda bottle. The red protrusion from that end that can be seen in the manufacturers pics is the inlet covered with what appears to be a push fit plastic cap. They come in a sealed plastic bag that I don't want to open till I need the filter. It's probable that some sized hose will fit the inlet when the red plastic cap is removed.

Answer:	Your product should be alright. The water filter is a closed container with a carbon insert, and a cap on to protect the interior. Wipe it off and it is ready to go. The air purifier works by pulling air through the material inside. It is easily protected by the cardboard packaging. You can wipe the dust off, and install it. Should not cause any problem. I did not recall the rattles. I happened to have the last one I replaced since I have not taken it to discard at the local environmental center yet. I shook it and it did rattle. Sounded like some miniature metal balls a bit smaller than the BBs you use to shoot in your Red Rider bb gun when you had a GREAT Christmas years ago. Go ahead and install it and mark your calendar to replace it again in one year. This is about the 14th time I have gone through the process and I think they are very good products.

Answer:	According to the product description its capacity is "30 sheets." I measured our office paper and that's about 4mm, or about 1/8 of an inch. The description I found of the replacement cutting head for the 440 said that it cuts up to 7 sheets of paper at a time, so it might require 4 passes.

Answer:	While there is no guide to show where the blade is going to cut, on the rolling style trimmers it is very easy to see where the cut will be. It is just beyond the clear plastic clamp that the paper slides under. You can roll the cutting head slightly toward your material and see where that exact cut will be.

Installation Step 1

Remove the aerator if the faucet has one, and determine if your faucet has inner threads or outer threads.

Installation Step 2

For faucets with internal threads, use the metal adapter and 2 sealing washers to connect the diverter valve to the faucet. For faucets with external threads, place the sealing washer into the diverter valve of the filter and connect to the faucet.

Question:	Does it change the PH of the water to make it more Alkaline
Answer:	I cant really say as we were looking to replace getting bottle water delivery (7-8 bottles delivered monthly) for a family of four. We were hoping the tap water would closely resemble the bottled spring water (PolSprg brand) and it does. WE had this now for a couple of month's and are happy with it's performance thus far. So if you like PS you dont get after taste or Alkaline from what are tap water was like before using this system.

Question:	Anyone utilize this system on a municipal water supply that is very *very* hard? Is it effective? How is filter performance/lifespan affected
Answer:	I live in an area where water is very hard. The filter doesn't remove the calcium. I can see that while boiling the filtered water; have to clean the boiler every day if I don't want to have any sediment in my tea. I find the Berkey filter more effective.
Question:	Has anybody tested this system with a TDS meter? That is the only way to really know how good of a job it is doing. If the reading is 20 or less, then it is comparable to an RO filter. If it's much higher than 20, don't waste your money
Answer:	Yes I did test this system with the TDS meter and was very disappointed. The readings were exactly the same as what came out of the tap. I called Brondell and they informed me that was how it's supposed to be. Their system is apparently designed to only remove the bad taste...not the dissolved solids...well in my case it did neither. The water still tasted bad and the TDS reading was just as high as the tap. Our water is so bad here, typical readings from 450-800+ so it may just be that filters don't work here. I gave up on filters after trying many and ordered delivered water from Culligan.

Can this system reduce TDS?

Please note that this Undersink Water Filtration System cannot reduce TDS. Not for hard water.

TDS stands for total dissolved solids. It is composed of inorganic salts and a small amount of organic matter. Can the system filter well water?

No. This system is designed for Municipal Tap Water. If using well water as the source, please make sure the feed water has been through a pre-filtration system, otherwise, large particles in well water will clog the filter easily and shorten filter life.

Answer:	I bought the ROES-50 RO system in January 2016 and for the most part it has been great. Bought the pump to go with it as well as an auxiliary accumulator tank to use in addition to the smaller bladder tank that comes with the system so we can draw a couple of gallons of RO water at near full pressure at one go (set to 60 psi), and have the output plumbed to the sink faucet and two refrigerators with ice makers and water dispensers. I say all of this to say that I change the filters quite a bit and that it would be nice to be able to see the condition of the filters without having to shut off the supply from the house plumbing, and shut off both of the pressure tank valves as well as the system backfeed valve I installed just to get a look at the filters. I have a well and have two of the "dreaded" clear Whirlpool whole home water filter units, one at point of entry before the well bladder tank, and one after my water softener system and before my UV sterilizer, both of which have been in service for 18 years without issue. Everything is installed in my utility room on the wall for easy access, and I replace the O-rings in the filter housings about every third filter change and wash the housings out with a bleach solution, rinse them well and lubricate the O-rings with silicone grease when installing new filters every time I change a filter, and never ever tighten any of them tighter than hand tight unless there is a drip, but I can't recall there ever being one. I don't understand why people have filter housings break unless they are being over tightened, installed in a harsh environment exposed to the elements, or somewhere where they are subject to being hit with things and getting damaged physically, or in direct sunlight and subjected to UV radiation. Therefore I wish there was an option to purchase clear housings for the ROES-50 filters in order to make proper maintenance as easy as the rest of my system, because other than that, the only complaint I have with the ROES-50 is that the white bladder tank that came with it leaks air and I have to repressurize it about every six months. The larger blue auxiliary tank I bought has yet to need to be repressurized.
