Question:	How long does the battery last
Answer:	You know...I am not 100% sure on that one, it does make long shreds, when I shred cheddar cheese the strands are much longer in comparison to other modes of shredding (ie box greater). The only problem I can foresee using the shredding disk is that a zucchini is much lighter than the cheese and this may effect how long you make the noodle. I think you are looking roughly at the length of a egg noodle, and that is if you shove the zucchini in the spout lengthwise to promote the formation of a noodle. The Vita-Mix comes to mind when you said zucchini noodles (just thinking of the commercial, not that a vita-mix could make the noodle), and if that is what you are looking for lengthwise...I don't think this will do it. Question:	how long does 1 fliter last
Answer:	I fill the pitcher 2-3 times a day. The last 4 filters have lasted about 1 month each. After a month or so, the pressure builds up from the filter being full and the o-rings begin leaking (this is not uncommon unfortunately).
Question:	Why need mesh in the filter
Answer:	To frame and retain the inner charcoal layer.
Question:	Does it filter out flouride
Answer:	Aquasana claims the countertop filters remove contaminates while leaving healthy minerals in the water. Fluoride is not naturally present in the water but added by some localities and therefore may be considered a healthy mineral. Some say the only effective way to remove fluoride is with a reverse osmosis system. The Aquasana countertop filter is NOT a reverse osmosis system so I suspect it does not effectively remove fluoride. I would verify whether your local water company is adding fluoride and if so shop for a good reverse osmosis system. Aquasana does have these but not in a countertop unit.
Question:	the light on the machine does not turn blue after changing filters; it keeps blinking red. how do I fix that

Answer:	Just add a T adapter on the line running to the sink and extra line to the refrigerator..I did it..very easy.

Answer:	Max 9" high above the countertop. The faucet outlet has a 5" overhang from the center tube coming out from the countertop and sits 6.5" above the countertop. The angle of the faucet is 20 - 25 degrees, rough guess. The cover plate is 1.75" in diameter which covers a standard 1.5" counter hole.

Answer:	I have had mine for over the 6 months time and it did start to beep at about that mark. I have not changed it yet since we were away for 3 months but the water still tastes good.

If the filters are new and there is a slow flow, make sure the sump that holds the cartridges are turned all the way to the right when installed. This ensures that the valve inside the manifold is opened up and the hole openings are lined up. If that doesn't work, replace stage 1 filter. If that doesn't work, replace stage 2 & 3 filter. Answer:	No, this system is not certified for fluoride removal.
Question:	My wife and I would only use the filter for drinking water and use less than 300 gallons in a year, does that mean the filters would last two years
Answer:	The filters in the AQ-5300 are designed and Certified to be effective for a period of 6 months. The base unit is equipped with an audible alarm that will remind you when it is time to replace the filters.
Question:	Why is a battery necessary
Answer:	I just replaced the 3 filters on ours for the 1st time, started beeping about one week ago, started beeping after exact 6 months, with the new 3 filters also included a new battery, I think when you change the battery it automatically does a 180 day reset (6 months) and will start beeping in 6 months, the old filters look like they were doing there job because they were dirty.
Question:	How frequently do the filters need to be replaced
Answer:	Apparently our battery was not working because it did not beep after 6 months. Didn't notice any difference in water taste. But I recently decided to check if filters need to be changed and found out that last time I changed them was 5 years ago! Again water taste great comparing to unfiltered. Ordered and installed new set in Feb 2020 and put a reminder for 2025 to order new set.

Question:	Does anyone know if the replacement filter elements have a shelf life? Is there a recommendation as to how long they can be stored before use
Answer:	The filter parts are quite inert and I would imagine a minimum of 5 years, but I would think that 10 to 15 years is not unreasonable either.
Question:	It's time to change the filters for the first time. I experienced bad leaking with another brand previously after filter replacement. Is this one ok
Answer:	I have replaced mine twice and have not encountered any problems or leaking. I just make sure I have a good seal when I change them.
Question:	how often to replace filters
Answer:	It's just me and my husband, and we couldn't believe that we would need to change the filter as often as a larger family, but sure enough, 6 months after we installed our system the light and beeper went off. We replaced our filters, but noticed that they were still very clean, so we figured something was up... Apparently there is a timer that makes the light & beeper go off after 6 months. So today, when our beeper started to sound we simply popped the battery out and put it back on... and the light and beeper stopped! It IS just a timer!! We're going to keep using the same filters until we notice a reduction in flow, or 6 months from now (whichever comes first)-- we figured we should at least be able to use the same filters for twice as long as a family of 4. :)
