Answer:	No, it does not cause water to pool up. I have no idea what some are doing here to cause pools of water. If you've got it filled with food, then of course it may drain slower. Just empty it out into your wastebasket. These things are a perfect fit for a standard US kitchen sink, especially stainless steel. Looks like it was custom made for it!
Question:	If you pour a large amount of water into the sink, will the strainer float up away from the drain or will it stay anchored to the drain
Answer:	That's one of the things I really like about this strainer. It stays put when you dump a lot of water into the sink. It is heavy enough not to float. I am old school and use a small tub in my sink when washing dishes and when I pour the tub out the strainer stays put. Hope this helps!

Question:	Is the strainer section wire mesh or stainless metal line regular sink strainer
Answer:	It is not mesh and water does not drain well through it. Used in bathroom vanity sink and it did not work well for a sink that you would want to drain quickly. It’s like having a clogged sink.
Question:	What happens if you have a sink stopper ,you know the one you pull the plunger and it holds water in basin.Now you cant use that strainer
Answer:	That is correct. My sunk did not have a stopper so This took its place. You cannot use this if you have a stopper in your sink.

Answer:	Yes, it comes in a package. The strainers are nested together, covered in plastic and glued to a piece of card stock paper.
Question:	Is the mesh soft and flexible enough to be reshaped to fit better
Answer:	The mesh strainer portion is stiff. I'm sure it could be adjusted to a new shape with pliers or some tool, but that will likely create sharp points/creases and make it difficult and risky to clean on a regular basis.

Answer:	When I received mine I'd forgotten that I was supposed to receive 2. I put it in my tub drain right away. Later when I checked my order I saw that I was supposed to get 2. but before I complained I thought I should check just in case and sure enough there were 2 stuck together in my drain. A good bargain!

Answer:	I don't see why you couldn't use it for funnel cake. Their is a rubber opening that hangs down. When you pull the handle it pushes a piece of plastic over to shut off the opening. I might question if it would come out too fast but it you just don't let the handle all the way you should be fine.

Answer:	It's all plastic, except for the actual spigot, which is made of rubber.

Answer:	We love this kitchen tool. It’s easy to use, easy to clean and helps make perfect pancakes and waffles. It doesn’t work too well to mix batter in, although I have done so. Best to mix batter in another bowl and then pour into the batter dispenser. Top rack dishwasher safe for the body, and hand wash for the plug.

Question:	How far does the center piece protrude above and below the plane of the 4.4" diameter perimeter? Total height is
Answer:	It's 4 3/4" overall, including the 1/4" silicone edging. Essentially flat, with no protrusions on underside. The edging is the only thing that keeps it from sliding away from drain hole. You could put a dab of silicone underneath to hold it, but it does catch hairs on top of very small holes and needs to be cleaned from time to time.

Answer:	Yes. The hair may be caught around the edge of it instead of on the top sometimes, but it stops all the hair.

Answer:	You would need something to catch the hair, ESPECIALLY, if it's long . Long hair down the drain is a major cause for clogged drain pipes. If not this one, some type of drain to keep it from entering the drain pipe.

Answer:	It depends on the size and strength of the "something". I would say would keep insects from coming up, but a Florida python or baby Alligator would rip right through that drain and eat up your naked self .

Answer:	Thank you for contacting Danco. For model # 88820 strainer Danco only offers 1 strainer in packaging.
Question:	how can I clean this strainer? I can pull the hair out, but it is largely clogged with soap scum, I guess. yuck
Answer:	I use this strainer and I clean it in a two-step process. I wet it and wipe it out with dry tissue until the bulk of the debris is gone. I then put it in place and spray it with Chlorox Clean-up or a mold killing spray. In those cases when this doesn't appear to get enough of the stuff off of it I use a discarded toothbrush marked "DIRTY" to give it a good scrubbing after applying the bleach or cleaner. In my experience, I believe that the worst culprit is not soam scum, but a myriad of hair conditioners, body creams, and oils that congeal in a water-impervious mess. I highly recommend this strainer however especially for people who live iin old houses with slow drains.
Question:	What is the diameter of the actual basket that would go into the sink? I need something for a standard bathroom sink, and the diameter is 1 inch
Answer:	The diameter at the bottom seems to be 1 inch. It is also approximately 1 inch deep from top to bottom. My strainer is 2 inch diameter across the top not 2 1/2" as shown in the description. This strainer bounced around in my sink when I ran water but my hole was about 1 3/4 inch. The strainer is VERY lightweight! I found the product utterly useless but maybe you will get a snug fit from it.

Answer:	The outer rim diameter is 2 7/8 inch. The wire mesh extends horizontally inward with a width of 7/8 inch. The descending wire mesh pocket is about 1 1/4 inch in diameter. So yes, it would fit into a hole that is 1 3/4 inch. But it might slide around a bit. On 2.75-inch drain, there is a depression of that size in the porcelain or fiberglass. The tub mesh fits into that depression. It cannot slide like it might on a smaller opening.

Answer:	Ha! The easiest way to clean it is with a tweezer. The little pointy things are very close together(which is why it catches the hair so good).
Question:	can it work with pop-up bath tub drains
Answer:	A dog could certainly move it depending on how active it is, but if it isn't touched it stays in place. It doesn't float up and float away like some do.
Question:	How do you clean these? I'm having the worst time getting lint and hair off of these
Answer:	This drain protector is much heavier than the flimsy ones you get at the big box stores. They in my opinion those nasty would have a hard time, but I would be checking for a hole in my pipe. They shouldn't be coming up like that.
Question:	does it have suction to keep it in place or does it slide around
Answer:	The dimensions shown are 4.5x4.5x2. It fits over my Kohler pop-up drain and it is working quite well at catching hair.
Question:	Can this product be placed upside down to go over a pop-up tub drain
Answer:	I tried both and liked this one better. The tubshroom worked but wouldn't clean and quickly got too gross to use. This one worked well for us, i.e. stays in place, catches all the hair, lets water through and cleans up to like new. Maybe it has to do with sink or tub shape?

Question:	Does it gets rusted over time
Answer:	I've had them a while, and they don't get rusted, not even around the holes. Only the biggest one of the three works. The others don't drain fast enough, even when the sink is clear, and the water runs from the faucet at half speed; the holes are too small. If they did work, it would be a good buy. I can't use any except the biggest one, for my kitchen sink.
