Answer:	it does NOT retract properly. It is too congested where 3 tubes go into thr center pipe underneath. This faucet wasted $250 of my money. Grohe has sold out, shipping junk under their brand name. Read my review “Want Quality Items” one star. Had to throw it out and get an “Adler” by a more common brand. So many junk faucets on the market and Grohe teases that they are better BUT it’s so bad its useless. I do want my money back but the remodel dragged on too long, beyond the returns limit.

Answer:	1) YES 2) ABOUT 10". Are you asking how high above the counter top is the faucet (where the water comes out)? I'd say between 10 and 12 inches. It doesn't really matter because you should have a sink underneath the faucet head so there is a lot of room to move your dishes around etc. I've never had a problem like I think you're asking about.
Question:	Is the pullout portion of the faucet plastic or steel
Answer:	There is a button on the back side of the head that turns on the spray function. It stays on spray until you turn the water off, and then resets to full on. There is no way to set it to the sprayer function without pressing the button each time.

Answer:	We had this happen too, then the plumber told us what was going on and we got it to stop. Apparently, the pipes bringing water in build up material over time. When you put in the new faucet, those particles percolate through the new faucet. You can remove the faucet's "head" and see some fine sand-like granules there. We removed them. After a while, this will stop on its own. Good luck.

Answer:	Grohe USA will provide you detailed specs, but it is a combo Carbon/ion exchange epoxy. It is not all the way to R/O, if you need that you should do that further up the supply line I think. It reliably removes Chlorine and Chlorimides, heavy metals, etc. Taste is vastly better.

Answer:	Grohe has several different filters (from their site and/or Amazon - different capacities, and one that conditions the water for better taste (allegedly, have not tried.)
