Answer:	It cannot be UL certified because it is patently unsafe. A 16 amp appliance should not be able to be plugged into a 15 amp receptacle. It requires a 20Amp circuit to be safe. It should have a 20Amp plug (with a cross bar on one of the prongs. Buy this an just plug it in anywhere it'll go and you're at risk of burning your house down.

Answer:	NEC requirements say that the constant load on a circuit shall be no more than 80% of the circuit's rating. This EVSE can pull 32A for hours, and that 32A represents 80% of 40A. Thus, the circuit can be rated at no less than 40A. Plugging a 32A load into a 30A household dryer circuit risks burning your house down. The seller is giving bad, and possibly deadly, advice. The maximum constant load on a 30A dryer circuit is 80% x 30A = 24A continuous. When in doubt, hire a licensed electrician for installation ("Handymen" need not apply.) I've been driving EVs for over 20 years, and I highly recommend putting in a 50A circuit, and running all four wires to the 14-50R (Hot-Hot-Neutral-Ground), even though the EVSE may not require Neutral. Running the Neutral gives much greater future flexibility for using the circuit for other purposes, like 120V AC.

Answer:	The specifications on the label list a 240 volt input and output. They don't specify a range such as 120-240 volts. So without actually trying to plug it into a 120v source I'm not sure if the internal electronics would operate properly at the lower voltage. Also the smoker (wood chip element} has a separate heating element so you could just set the smoking to one of 5 different levels without running the heat element. This model is already discontinued after being release about 1 1/2 years ago. I really don't know why it was so short lived. I'm happy with it so far. I just bought the rotisseries and browning kits and haven't had a chance to install them. This my second MB. My last one died after several years of use. I didn't cover it so the plastic covering all the control buttons denigrated.
