Question:	I’m refinishing my old Samsonite train case. Would this work ok to line the fabric inside to protect from spills so the fabric doesn’t get ruined
Answer:	Yes, probably. However, I’m not sure how you would apply it to the inside of the case. On fabric or paper you use an iron to adhere the vinyl to the fabric or paper on a flat surface. How you would get the vinyl into corners is a puzzle. The instructions tell you to peel the backing from the vinyl and use that, (the paper backing) in between the iron and the vinyl. You can’t iron onto the vinyl, it will melt. Don’t know if a heat gun or hair dryer will work, haven’t trie that. Good luck!
Question:	Will this work on leather
Answer:	Hello - the manufacturer indicates this vinyl product is for fabric or paper only. The only product they recommend for leather is their double-sided bonding product to attach the leather to something else. I would assume that product would be used on the unfinished side of the leather, that could take a heat setting. (side note: they recommend that after the bonded product is affixed to fabric, the finished item be washed in cool water, and dried on a low heat setting. there are also different strengths of the adhesive that are available, depending on what you want to bond. the leather is the strongest product)
Question:	after being ironed on, can it be sewn by machine
Answer:	yes. I actually made little zipper pouches out of large M and M bags. I attached the thermoweb to the plastic, then attached that tocotton fleece and stitched straight lines onto it before making the pouch. Read directions very carefully re temperatures etc. You may want to make a small sample first....I ruined by first attempt

Answer:	Hi. Thank you for your question. Typically, we recommend reapplying every 3-4 months for best results. However, you can reapply the moment you start to see a bit of the original matte color start to become dull. For best results, we recommend applying a good amount of the 303 Protectant to the tire wall, let the tire rubber absorb it for about 30 minutes to 1 hour, then wipe off any excess. You may do a second coating if necessary if there are visible spots. However, this time simply apply, wait for 10 minutes and then wipe it off. Hope this helps! Answer:	Highly doubtful. I would not use this as it would probably repel the fire retardant.
Question:	Can this be use on a Tent
Answer:	I would think it could as long as the fabric on the tent isn't affected by it. I used it on Sunbrella on my boat and it worked very well. The Sunbrella had aged and lost its water-proofing to the point that it "rained" inside the bimini whenever we got a heavy rain. I used two coats on the bimini and it is now watertight. I would think it would have the same effect on the canvas of a tent.

Answer:	i did a boat cover with 1 gallon that was 12' x 30'. i probably went a little too heavy, but it really works great!! the rain just races off it.

Answer:	This does not have UV protectant in it. I purchased a separate product called Force Field UV protection. I am going to put that one on first and then let it cure for 24 hours . Then I will spray this product on top of the UV protectant.

Answer:	Always Spot Test the fabric. I have used 303 Fabric Guard on canvas, boat carpet, indoor carpet, fabric and directly applied it to foam with no problems. Excellent water repellent. Recommended for use by & on Sunbrella Material. A pleasant smelling light oily clear fluid that dries with no odor and no oily feel. Can be sprayed, brushed, rolled and/or saturated. I suggest buying the gallon size. Not familiar with Honda's Fabric-Gard but For $400-$450 you could have a car seat or two recovered or replaced. Good Luck!
Question:	How does this work on personal items? Like a wool coat? I've heard rumors that it works, but I would love some first-hand accounts
Answer:	I have not tried it on anything except my soft top convertable, I would think it would work just find, it does not leave any residue once it dries, it will smell for a day or so, but most repellents do.
Question:	If a fabric convertible top treated with 303 Fabric Guard is washed with 303 Cleaner or standard car shampoo, is the effective protection reduced
Answer:	303 Fabric Guard works best on untreated, not washed with fabric softener (Downey), tightly woven cotton fabric. It will soak into the cotton and resist some detergent washing. Your convertible top and Sunbrella fabric are already treated and this stuff will just sit on top and will wash away pretty easily. 303 works great on my Filson dry finish canvas jacket but washes off my Sunbrella outdoor seat cushions. Any water repellant finish is ruined by fabric softener which persists in the fabric even after repeated rinsing so just hose off your outdoor seat cushions.
Question:	How much coverage per ounce
Answer:	According to the label, it covers 75-100 sq. ft. per 16-oz bottle, NOT 100 sq. ft. per ounce. Also, that is for LIGHTER fabrics; for heavier fabrics the label states 45-75 sq. ft. per 16-oz. bottle.

Answer:	I have used it on rain coat,two pair UGG boots, isotoner gloves and a pair of UGG suede slippers that I always run outside in. Of course first 24 hours, AFTER bringing in house from spraying you will notice smell and may even feel a slightly different texture to your material items. After about 48 hours it's as if you never sprayed anything on them at all. Regarding dogs, I have a 215lb English Cream, Golden Retriever. Answer:	I do not have a down coat, but I would not hesitate to use starseal on it if I did! I used this on almost Everything I use outside, from coats to boots to gloves, even my umbrella. It does have a strong oder that will last a few days, but does dissipate, it worked very well on all tight knit cloth and materials, it worked great on my leather boots and gloves for a week or so. Does no do well on lose knitted items, ie: sweaters, it does waterproof the material, but water still runs through the knit. I just ed purchased a new couch, and will be spraying with starseal before I leave for work in the morning. NOTE: APPLY ONLY IN WELL VENTILATED AREAS.

Question:	Hello, any alternative successful methods to apply the protectant vs spraying
Answer:	The only way I could see applying the protectant is to maybe soak a clean sponge with it and spread it around the top. However, I can’t say how well this method would work, as I have not tried it. RaggTop brand soft top protectant comes in a spray can. You might try that one. I feel that it is easier to apply and lasts longer. Always start with a clean, dry top.
Question:	Has anyone compared this product to "Raggtopp" Protectant ? I've used that before and been very satisfied, but this is less $$ & comes with cleaner
Answer:	I switched from Ragtopp to 303 because 303 protectant is much easier to apply (if there is any breeze at all Raggtopp disappears). Have used 303 cleaner and protectant for a year and have been very pleased. My 2006 Solara top still looks practically new.
Question:	how many ounces are the bottles. and is this product as good as the rag top brand
Answer:	I'm not sure on the size. I think it was 12oz. As far as a rag top comparison. I can't help either. I used the 303 on my 2006 corvette 2 summers ago. When I put it away for winter the top was as good as the day after I used the 303. Personally, if I have a need for a fabric guard product again I will go back for more 303. Other than needing to use the cleaner in the kit to also clean any over spray from applying it. It has more than met my expectations. Hope this helped.

Answer:	Hi the package I got had one cleaner and one fabric guard bottle in the one box as a kit. each bottle was 16 oz. the box had stock # 30520 on it. I also got a 32 oz. bottle as an extra for future use separately of the fabric guard. But the kit bottles were 16 oz. each.

Answer:	I haven't used this for that specific stain. But I have used it to remove tar from a tan jeep top, and worked great. I've used this on several vinyl tops, and have always had great results. Just make sure you follow the directions on the bottles. Hope this helps!

I followed the instructions; however, I did not get the results I expected. I probably will not go with a water-based solution the next time.

Question:	how well does this work on inside/outside shower corner joints? Will it easily bed into a 90 /180 degree angle
Answer:	Yes. I just used this when waterproofing a shower using Redguard. I first used mesh tape and mortar on all joints and corners ( inside and out). Then used Redguard on all surfaces, with the membrane fabric embedded in all joints and corners. The fabric folds easily around outside and inside corners.
