Answer:	Hot and cold water valve.
Question:	Is there a matching hand shower available
Answer:	A hand shower would require a diverter, which is a separate valve to turn it on and off. This Roman faucet isn't designed like the common wall mount faucets, so there isn't a knob that can be pulled to prevent water from exiting the standard faucet. You would need something more like the Moen T924ORB, which is basically the same thing with the inclusion of the shower wand. Pair it with the Moen 9793 for CPVC/PEX connection or Moen 9796 valve for 1/2" copper to copper connection (there are different connection types available with the valve, so you'd have to make sure you purchased the right one for your application). It would only have to include the shower diverter kit with the valve. I'm not sure if the additional parts can be purchased to convert this model into the other. There are kits to install a diverter separately, but it makes it easier to get what you want the first time.
Question:	What do they mean by "without valve
Answer:	This is a trim kit. The complete comes in two pieces. Many people replace the trim section and leave the existing valve in place under the tile and put a new trim piece over it. The usual valve that is required is a Moen 4792. The complete set would be a Moen T 4943 - 4792

So, when ordering, if you see it listed twice for the same price, check the weight...you may get the valve body if you buy the one with the heavier shipping weight like I did. Good luck. By the way.
