Answer:	I used box cake mix and the cake turned out like normal. Perhaps it was a cooking time issue? The cakes didn't take very long at all compared to a traditional sized cake. Good luck!

Answer:	Put some water into your measuring cup and add to the muffin pan to see how many cups it will hold. Start baking at 350 for 20 mins., insert with a knife and if it don't come out clean, bake another few mins. and repeat the knife test. Answer:	The product label says 6 cup capacity. To the RIM of the pan is 6 cups. Safely filled to 3-3/4 to 4 cups maximum and the cake doesn't erupt from the pan and all over the oven. The recipe volume is too much for a pan this size. I did contact Nordic Ware about this and the said "we'll get on it". No, they have not adjusted the recipe nor have they increased the size of the pan. So, if you make the "Snowflake" cake, be sure to have an extra baking pan for the excess batter. Good thing I went w/my gut feeling about the batter and the pan. The cake is absolutely delicious. I hope this answers your question.

Bake 40 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes in pan, then carefully invert cake onto a wire rack. Cool completely. Answer:	Yes, the actual pan is 4 1/2 inches tall, approximately 9 1/2 inches by 10 1/5 inches (wide and long). However, each actual cavity is about 4 inches deep and the diameter of each cavity - largest of the tiers is 4 inches. You can find the recipe for this pan somewhere on the internet. I found it but don't have access to it right now. You have to use the Wilton spray release which is a oil type spray with flour. Otherwise it is difficult to get out of the pan. Also, you don't fill the pan to the top! Experiment but generally it is best to fill slightly past the second of the three tiers. Someone posted that it was a great mini wedding cake for a shower or wedding. Keep in mind that it would serve 2 people for sure, maybe more. You will probably have to slice off the bottom to make it level after it cools. The real trick is frosting it. Perhaps one could freeze each little cake and then frost it. I bought my pan at a garage sale for $1 and used it only twice. The grandkids thought it was fun. I hope that answers your question....and more!
