Answer:	Yes, that's correct. But don't waste your money on this doorknob - the matte black finish chips off very easily! We ended up replacing it.

Answer:	I would not consider it waterproof. The lid is easily blow up by the wind and nothing is sealed that tightly. We never have an issue, but ours is installed under a porch awning.

Answer:	There is not a spot for outgoing mail. Definitely a drawback.

Answer:	I don’t see why not if the holes line up. It takes 4 screws. One thing to keep in-mind is that there are half inch plastic spacers that hold the box away from the material that it is mounted to. If you don’t use the spacers, the top hinged door won’t open.
