Answer:	I do not have this lock but I have a grandson with autism. His aunt is a locksmith and she came over & installed some locks at the top of my exterior doors that act as an extra deadbolt & have a pinch & pull system to open them that adults cannot always figure out. Question:	Would this work in an older house
Answer:	I honestly dont see why not.. My house was built in 1996. I dont see anything special about this little device that would prevent it from working in an older house. My grandmothers house was built in 1943 and it would work in hers also.

Answer:	I should have bought 7/8 . I got the wrong ones myself... So be sure before you buy.
