Operation Instructions in Single Unlock Mode

1.Initialization:

After installing the battery, hold on the RESET button (passing a small hard object through the hole in the front of the lock cylinder to press the reset button). When you hear a "Di" sounds, release the hand. The lock beeps: "Di, Di, Di, Di, Di” (five short beeps). At this point, the lock is initialized (clear lock record) state, in Single Mode.

2.Set Master Card:

After initializing, the first card (RFID Card / Tag) is swiped in the sensing area of the lock body. After a sound ("Di-Di") is made, the card becomes a Master Card. Master card can be used to unlock the cabinet door, add or delete the user card.

3.Set User Card:

Swipe the management card (After reading successfully, the lock beeps "Di", in an unlocked state, new user card can be configured), put new card on the sensing area untill you hear a short beep which means the setting is successful. The user card can be setted continuously (up to 11 pcs).

After testing on different doors, WITHOUT the heavy duty chain, differences in door gap and the thickness of the door will have an impact on the performance of the portable door lock.

However, adding the heavy duty chain to hold the door lock and door knob/handle together will greatly help to enhance the security level and improve the performance, providing effective safety and protection for doors with bigger gap or smaller thickness.

Using it as a travel lock will be very helpful since the door gap or the door thickness of different hotels, motels & Airbnb may be different. It can be also used for your home, apartment and dormitory.

Not only improve door lock security level, but also help to prevent the metal body from bending.

When the door gap is a little bigger or the thickness of the door is smaller, the portable door lock cannot be tightly attached to the door jamb. The red part is probably not strong enough to stop an unauthorized entry, making the metal body of the door lock may be easy to bend.

However, if a heavy duty chain is added to hold portable door lock and door knob/handle together, it will provide force in the opposite direction and greatly help to increase the security level.

When deciding to use the heavy duty chain, please attach the heavy duty chain to the metal body of the portable door lock first before placing the red part.

We recommend that the heavy duty chain should go through the first heart-shaped hole of the door lock so that it can be tightly held to the metal body. 1. The metal body of the door lock must be able to be inserted into the door gap. The thickness of the metal body is 0.04 inch (1mm). That means the door gap must be greater than 0.04 inch (1mm).
2. There are claws in the back of the round hole and the rectangular hole. The claws needs to be inserted into the strike plate in the door jamb (door frame). The height of the claws is 0.276 inch (7mm). So the door gap must be less than 0.276 inch (7mm). Otherwise, the portable door lock will slide down the door gap.
3. Since the claws of the portable door lock must be able to be inserted into the strike plate, if you use the round hole, the height of the hole in the strike plate must be greater than 0.78 inch. Otherwise, the claws cannot be inserted into the strike plate. The deadbolt/latch needs to fit through one of the holes of the portable door lock. For using the round hole, please make sure the width of the deadbolt/latch is less than 0.78 inch, and the height of the deadbolt/latch is less than 0.78 inch.
4. If you use the rectangular hole of the portable door lock, the height of the hole in the strike plate must be greater than 1.14 inches. Otherwise, the claws cannot be inserted into the strike plate either. For the rectangular hole, Please make sure the width of the deadbolt/latch is less than 0.78 inch, and the height of the deadbolt/latch is less than 1.14 inches. Otherwise, the deadbolt/latch cannot fit through the rectangular hole of the door lock.

Both the chain & rings of the door lock have been upgraded. They are definitely much sturdier and more durable in comparison with other similar products on the market. Not easy to break. We recommend connecting one of the rings to the bigger round hole or the rectangular hole. Please note: If the ring is connected to the rectangular hole and now you need to use the rectangular hole, you need to remove the ring from the rectangular hole of the door lock. It is easy to remove the ring (just like removing keys from the similar rings).
