Answer: They are pretty sturdy. You'd have to really put in some effort to bend them. These are our second set only because somehow, gremlins stole a bunch and we needed more for a complete set. The first set has lasted over 20 years.

Answer: Not sure, threw box out when I got and not stamped on the pieces. I can say I love this set. Got one 17 years ago when got married, bought this one last year too expand to 12 settings.

Answer: If you search flatware manufacturers' web sites, the common standard today is 18/0, which represents the ratio mix of metal. Look at the higher end flatware, you will see the ratio at 18/8 or better. 18/8 was the common standard years ago.
