Answer:	It's one way as far as not being able to see through it into the house. But when it's dark outside and the light is on indoor, you can see the hinge in light produced by the shadow of whoever is looking through the peephole. It is only a slight variation, but enough to know someone is looking through. This doesn't happen in the day.

Question:	When you unscrew the two ends what color is in the inside, looks like someone painted mine black??? Is it suppose to be white, my pic. Is dark
Answer:	You will have to drill the necessary holes thru the door.The bolts/screws that came with the package allows for different thickness doors.The spyglass itself is also adjustable for door thickness variations.I do not recall dimensions for attachment screws.The instructions will tell you .When drilling make sure you drill at a perfect 90 degrees angle the srews will then line up perfectly from the inside to the outside of the door.
