Answer:	When the set is in lock position, it will not open from the inside or outside. From the inside, to be able to unlock the set, you have to turn the little device (I don't know what to call it) that allows you to lock and unlock the set. When it is in lock position, the set is locked inside and out. When it is in unlock position, the set is open inside and out.

Answer:	We can key them alike if you order directly from Home Hardware Central by phone. The stock at the Amazon warehouse may or may not be keyed alike depending if they were sent to the warehouse in the same shipment.

Answer:	No problem here. It needs to be centered, level and plumb. If all are met it should work. If it won’t turn easily before installing return it.. if I get hung up I’ll put baby powder on tip of bolt when it runs it will leave powder where you could chisel some wood away. Hope this helps

Answer:	There is no indication whether the door is locked or not. So, it would be easy to lock yourself out. Most door hardware (the more expensive ones) when you have it in the lock position the post will stick out keeping the door from shutting all the way.

Answer:	Hello. They are not keyed alike. They use a standard Kwikset tumbler and can be rekeyed by any locksmith.

Answer:	I don't think so. I bought two sets for my front/back doors and the keys face different directions. It's just how they have to be installed to fit your door and how it opens.
