Answer:	Quite honestly, I have some of the older and newer versions and I cannot tell the difference between the two versions in their ease of use nor their effectiveness.

Answer:	I installed this extra lock by myself. It was easy to install and works great. Be sure to drill pilot holes prior to affixing screws permanently. After the installation is completed, I tried opening the door from outside and the door did not nudge a bit. I pushed with no possibility to force myself in.

Answer:	Your door must swing in towards you for this to be effective. Residential doors are supposed to swing into the house and that's what this is made for.

Answer:	I can only say I believe it will obscure the way enough to prevent a credit card break in. The manufacturer states that the design will prevent a LOCKED door from being opened with a key or lockpick. It can *not* prevent the doorknob from turning. You would need really tiny hands to get a credit card past the bulky knob once it's placed. The view in this picture is if we were the door itself. There is no hole on the outside once you place the cap, it is solid and locked.
