Answer:	I’m not sure of the measurements, but it lined up a little off of the old one, but I had the self locking screws , so I just pushed real hard and it made it fit. Working great. Heavy plastic . It is the only replacement I ordered that came close. Had trouble finding one. Hope this helps. If it doesn’t work, you can return it. After it fit I went ahead and ordered two

Question:	Ok so somebody already asked if this would work with an ez breeze 4 vent cabanna door, but all they said was "don't know". why do people do that
Answer:	I purchased my Larson Storm Door at Lowes. I was unable to find the replace part within the store. I then asked the storm door salesman and he indicated to me Lowes can order the replacement kit from Larson. In additon, I believe you can go directly to the Larson web site and order parts.
Question:	Is the shaft round or square
Answer:	If you are referring to the plastic piece that holds the closer to the door frame, yes it is sold separate. I order 4 or 5 at a time because when the wind catches the door and flings it open usually the plastic piece breaks.
Question:	This “almost” closes the door. Are there any adjustments to help it close the door completely
Answer:	The actual mechanism, long metal tube, is 13.7 in long. The hardware that connects the mechanism to the door is 2" long and one that adheres to the wall is 3" long. The tub is a little over 1" wide. So, I am unsure where the 2x4x4 comes in. But, I did notice this when I ordered it as well. It must be an error on their side.
Question:	What makes it "Heavy Duty
Answer:	As long as the deminsos of the pump are the same. It should work. It a universal pump, not manufacturer specific. Hope this helps.

Question:	Does it allow the screen door to open all the way, 90 degrees from the door frame
Answer:	It's a simple physics question really. Any opener would allow this depending on what distance the mounting brackets are attached to the door. If you are reusing existing mounting holes than you run the chance of repeating the same mistake. To allow more angle of opening you need to attach the (screen door side) brackets closer (nearer) to the door pivot side of the door frame. You could actually go beyond 90 degrees but that may be to hard for the closer to overcome especially in wind. We have the pair with the quick release at the bottom (very convenient) on a pretty heavy Larson door and once adjusted works flawlessly. With the closer mounted on the door frame only, extend the tube all the way out (fully) and lock it in pace with the button. Next move the door to the desired (fully open)position, mark the relationship between the door and the bracket, mount it (bracket) a 1/2" closer and you should be good to go.Hope this helps!

Answer:	Thanks for the quesion. You will be able to adjust the latching force of your closer by changing positioning of the pinhole on the closer with the door bracket. You'll want to move it in so that you reduce the amount of rod showing when the door is closed (i.e. move it in closer to the door hinge). Let us know if you have any questions about doing this.

Answer:	These are fairly standard. An Andersen storm door should have come with a pneumatic closer, safety chain, and the mounting brackets needed. You can also find these things in a hardware or big box store.

Answer:	The cylinder, including the rear mounting extension, is 11-5/8 inches. The cylinder itself is 10-5/8 inches. This is the standard size for this item, since the worn-out one I replaced, and the one on a different screen door in the house are all the same size.

Question:	Can I pull it to close instantly if i want it to? I have to turn the latch to close my screen but want the auto close function to keep stray cats out
Answer:	Not as far as I can see. The holding features prevents the door from closing. To unlock it you have only to push it open slightly the force for which a gust of wind would be ample.
Question:	can this push button model replace the older "technology" with mobile piece
Answer:	I live in northern Illinois. I use it on my storm door which is a combination of glass and screen. I have had no problems with the door.
Question:	I want to use this on a heavy deck trap door. Is there a weight limit for this? Should I buy
Answer:	Thanks for bringing this to our attention. When they "remain open about halfway" are you able to pull through the sticking point, or are they locked open? Sometimes our closers need to be "recalibrated" when the vacuum in the cylinder is too much for the closer to handle. If they're just sticking, we suggest the following solution: 1) Remove the speed screw from the back of the closer. 2) Open and close the door ~10-15 times to cycle the mechanism. 3) Replace the speed screw to its original position and use normally. If the mechanism seems locked open, please try the following: 1) Remove the closer off the door by pulling out the 2 pins fastening it to the brackets.  2) Take a thin screw driver or use the longer pin to place in the pin hole at the end of the metal rod.  This you will use as a handle (it will make a T-shape).  3) With one hand grab the cylinder and the other hand grab the metal rod.  Pull the two apart slightly and turn the rod 180 degrees (pull and twist at the same time without engaging the button --you may have to pull pretty hard).  The rod should release and the door closer should work fine.  If these solutions don't work for you, let us know so we can troubleshoot further.

Answer:	Hi there! Thanks for your question. Our closers do have a 2nd phase for latching the door, but it's adjustable so you can make it louder (slam harder) or softer if you'd like. This can be accomplished by reorienting the bracket on the door. Instructions for doing this are included in the kit.

Question:	what are the diamensions of this product
Answer:	If, by "mobile piece" you mean the moveable small piece of metal with the hole in the center, that is positioned on the mounting rod and is slid along the rod to lock the door in position, then yes. It is a direct replacement for the older style rod. On mine, even the original screw holes were used and did not have to be re-drilled.
Question:	How about some dimensions, length from one secure point to the other (piston butt to plunger rod contact), diameter of the piston, etc
Answer:	I would not recommend this use. These units are not designed for a heavy vertical load and would probably blow out fairly quickly. Also, a typical deck use would subject the unit to more water and moisture infiltration than they are designed to endure. A better unit would be one that is designed for an SUV tailgate - they are designed for heavy vertical loads, and are much more sturdy. Hope that helps. John
