Answer:	When I bought this there was no app. It was finger print only. There is another question that was answered about this by the seller on March 8 2020. They said that it was fingerprint only. Unless something has changed, the app will not work because there is no Bluetooth on the lock.

Answer:	No longer available to measure, but good image and door size info is available as one of the multiple images at the web site. Very adjustable due to use of spindles. However I can attest that trying to tighten these screws sometimes results in the thread portion shearing off in the spindle.

Answer:	The gateway is ZigBee and not Bluetooth as the other person said. You can have the gateway up to 50 feet away from the lock and it will work. No the gateway isn't hardwired to the router.

Answer:	The simple answer is that you can paint anything with the right primer. I really don't see why you couldn't paint this as long as you didn't let the paint bind the thumb mechanism. I would point out that the thumb hold will get a lot of wear & the paint may not last. If you are considering the (separate) keypad, be aware that this would be a much trickier task.

Question:	Does the keypad light up
Answer:	Press the "House" button on the lower left hand side of the keypad and it will light up without entering a number.
Question:	Lock/Unlock log? I don't see if this keeps a log of who has used their access code. Does it keep a log
Answer:	The history log is at the bottom of the Schlage Home app page. It records "how" the lock was operated--even if you NEVER add user codes different from the default codes. Using the inside lever causes these history log entries: Locked by Thumbturn (time and date) Unlocked by Thumbturn (time and date) Locking by pushing the lock symbol on the touchscreen causes this entry: Locked by Touchscreen (time and date) When I use the Schalge Home app to lock and unlock, history shows cause these entries: Locked by Bill (time and date) Unlocked by Bill (time and date) IF YOU ADD USER CODES, the default codes (under the battery cover) stop functioning. Since I named a custom code "Primary", using it to unlock causes this history entry: Unlocked by Primary (time and date) see less
Question:	If I have a power outage will a pre programed code still work
Answer:	Yes. It operates on batteries. However, you will not be able to use the app to access the lock during a power outage as your wifi will most likely be off too. Power being out does not effect the normal lock/unlock functionality.
Question:	Does it have auto-lock function
Answer:	It's probably confusing when you get both yes and no answers! I just installed the lock. There are two apps used to control it. Amazon Key and Schlange Home. It's a bit confusing, but you'll want both. Both apps have an Auto Lock setting. You can select 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes or 4 minutes. Navigating the apps is not obvious. For Amazon Key, go to "Settings" in the main menu, select the lock name (Encode if you didn't change it) and look for Auto Relock. In Schlange App, use the settings icon at the bottom of the page (using iOS; not sure about Android); choose "Auto Lock Delay". Hope this helps.

Question:	What if you get stuck button or a key button that is no longer working, how do you get in
Answer:	You don't get in! My lock has failed after only 2 years (just long enough to be out of warranty, of course) and unless you have another door you can use, you're in trouble. Thankfully I do have two entrances to my house, but for those of you in an apartment with only one door, I would suggest looking at a lock that also has a key backup. As a matter of fact, I am now worried what would happen if both of my keyless entry locks failed at the same time. Because of that I am going to switch out the locks for keyless with a key backup.

Answer:	It should be compatible with any z-wave or Zigbee module as it is equipped with both technologies.
