Answer:	Yes you can use this for a fountain. If you are looking at the 8000 GPH model you must have a very large pond and a very large fountain.
Question:	What fitting sizes come with the 8000? I love the 10,300 but the outlet is huge and very limited to connections. I want to make sure i can connect
Answer:	I had the same issue with the 10,000 gph model and had to return it. I could not figure any rational way to hook it to my pipe work and could not figure out what they were thinking with that outlet design. The 8000 comes with a 2" outlet and a variety of smaller adapters. I highly recommend the 8000 and it installed quickly and has been trouble free for me. In fairness a pond specialist said that with 2" pipes you can not really move more than 8000 -8700 gallons per hour and you should have 3" for a bigger pump.

Answer:	I use this pump to circulate water from a bottom pond (2000 gallons) to a top pond (900 gallons) for a waterfall. The water is pushed through 30 feet of 1.5 inch tubing up an incline of 5 feet. This pump circulates our water volume very well.

Answer:	hello....I am presently far away from the pump (Az) in Europe and will not return back to Az before the end of August...sorry! Yet, I seem to recall that it did not have a threaded intake and I hooked it up to the PVC pipe with a short flex and clamps....hope it helps! I believe you meant "outtake" and not "intake" since the "intake" (where it "takes" the water in) is located underneath the pump itself, no hose, no pipe?
Question:	CAN YOU USE ONE INCH TUBING
Answer:	You can use any size tubing with the proper adapters however one must remember that using a small diameter tubing will increase the resistance and turbulence through the tube thus greatly reducing its flow capacity (its a logarithmic function). These types of pumps can handle high resistance on the output side however not at the input end so hopefully you are only referring to choking down the output and are willing to sacrifice the huge drop in flow as a result (note: expect a large pressure increase, similar to putting your thumb over the end of a water hose).

Answer:	Hi Steve, the gph of any pump depends on the head pressure working against it. The Cyclone PAL3100 pumps 3100 gph at zero head. It pumps 2,251 gph at 5' of head, 1390 at 10' of head and 479 gph at 15' of head (according to the manufacturers literature). Head is roughly calculated by adding three things together, 1' of head for every foot of height from the surface of the pond to the highest point that the water will be pumped (if you could measure it straight up), another 1' of head for every 10' of tubing length, and another 1' for every sharp turn or obstacle like a UV unit or a 90 degree elbow). Answer:	I do not know. If it is then I believe it would be listed in the specs. Mine came with a mesh bag that has saved it. Until I got the pump with the filter bag over it, I would burn out a pump about once a year. Now when I see the flow becoming impeded, I turn off the pump, remove the net bag, rinse it off and we are clear again! Its been a great pump.

Answer:	Not sure. I have maybe 30ft of 1 1/2" spiral tubing and about a 12ft head and it gives a meandering flow to my cascading waterfall. It is kind of what I want, though, since I use the waterfall as part of the filtering process for the pond. I don't think I would want more than that, but some might, depending on the look you are trying for.

Answer:	Moving up to a bigger pump may be great but it depends on if your plumbing, filtration and waterfall can handle the extra flow! More circulation won’t hurt and will help as long as your system can handle it. Check tubing chart to make sure the pipe will allow increased flow. 1600 gph will thicken a 12” waterfall by .3”. If you have a small filter it could over flow or over pressure it.

Pond Type:

Water Garden, Few Small Goldfish: Circulate total pond water volume every 2 hours. Example: 2,000 GPH pump for 3000-gallon pond with 2" waterfall.

When Sizing your Freeze Flex Pond Hose, make sure you choose a pipe that will not restrict the flow of your pump!

If your hose is 1.5" and you buy a 6,000 GPH pump, your pipe will only allow 4,400 GPH to pass through it. You will be wasting money on electricity and paying for a stronger pump that will not give you the desired result. You will need to run an additional pipe or change your hose to get the desired flow rate!

Many people expect to achieve greater flow by simply buying a larger pump. They do not realize that flow will not increase unless the tubing can also support this increase inflow. Please do not let this happen to you.

Using the chart above, you will be able to easily determine the best size tubing for your pump size.

Do not use pumps on an extension cord. They must be run on a dedicated 15 Amp GFI circuit.

Answer:	it will work with your 2 inch pipe, but the pump has an 1.5 inch connection which will need plumbing fittings to get from the 1.5 to the 2 inch needed
Question:	So the name has "turtle" in it, but can it be used in a 150 gallon turtle tank? Turtles need extreme filtration and a submersible pump would be great
Answer:	This is a very powerful pump. 5,000gph. We had in our 2,000 gallon pond and it was too powerful for our bio-pressure filter. This is too big for a 150 gallon tank. I think they call it turtle for the shell type shape.
Question:	I have a 3200 Patriot in my pond inside a skimmer box as part of the Anjon waterfall kit. Will it fit and be compatible with all connections
Answer:	The barb included with these pumps have multiple tiers. you can cut this barb to match the same size line you used for the 3200. please make sure the hose size allows for recommended flow rating. the suggested size for the HF 5000 would be 2''.

Question:	Does useing a bag help or hinder the pump
Answer:	Not sure about your question but I am assuming you meant placing the pump inside of a mesh bag. If that is so, I don't think it will hinder the flow as long as the mesh does not get clogged with debris. I just have mine submerged in the filter case and the flow is great.

Answer:	I have a small lake on my property so I made a fountain out of some flexible hose, styrofoam, a piece of PVC pipe, and a cap I drilled some holes in to create a fountain to give the fish a little more oxygen. That is what I use mine for. I can't help you with the waterfall model that would correspond with this pump. Sorry!

Question:	My pump stopped working and when i pulled it out it started smoking. what do i do?it dosent turn on at all
Answer:	Return it to the manufacturer. I've purchase two of these pumps and they worked for a few weeks then they stopped. They were replaced but the replacements only lasted a few weeks. I have a smaller one that I purchased as a backup for when I purchase new kois, don't know if that is still coming on. I think that there is a serious problem with these pumps I would definitely never purchase these again
