INSTALLATION PROCESS:

b.Bore 2-1/8'' dia. hole through door. ( Notice the door thick 1-3/8'' to 1-3/4'' before bore holes) . 

c.Install latch, insert the lock into hole, mark the outline of the faceplate and tighten it with screws. 

d.Install the lockset , use screws to fix the inside lever to be firmly. 

e. Install the strike plate, close the door to mark the horizontal centerline of latch plate.

Question:	Are they available in antique brass
Answer:	When you say door hinge, do you mean the brackets that attach the door to the frame and allow a door to swing open and shut? No, I don't believe it has a template for this because it's meant to be used to cut a hole in your door to install a handle and mechanism for locking the door. I saw a video that shows there's an Irwin version that comes with a hinge template. I can't personally vouch for it, but Search Amazon for "Irwin Industrial Tool 3111001 Carbon Door Lock Installation Kit".
Question:	do these lock from both sides
Answer:	The arbor that goes in the hole saws is a 7/16" thread. It is a 7/16 arbor. So, I order two of these from an orange colored home improvement store as this kit only give you one and it gets stuck in the hole saw. Plus the one it gave ended up with a broken drill. I wanted to be able to use both hole saws (one for the lock and one for the deadbolt) without a trip to a bench vise to hold the hole saw while wrenching the single arbor free. The arbor (one end goes in the drill chuck and the other end goes in the hole saw) always gets stuck in the hole saw and you need a bench vise to hold the hole saw while wrenching the arbor out. Now I just leave them in the hole saws and save time.

Answer:	Good luck trying to get a company to help with that. Your better off ordering new locks that are keyed alike. Locks aren't very expensive anyways.
Question:	I have a key code for my existing schlage doorknob. When ordering, how do I request a deadbolt with that key code
Answer:	The answer is that you can technically clamp it on to a door up to 2 inches thick, I measured it precisely. HOWEVER just because you can clamp it on the door does not mean it will work properly. This jig is sized to help you drill the standard holes for 1 3/8 and 1 3/4 doors. For me I already had the hole for the deadbolt drilled. I only needed to expand the hole for the 2 1/8 inch housing hole in the outer door.

Before you start re-keying, you must have your functioning key, your new key, and the SmartKey Learn tool.

Step 1

Insert the key that currently operates your lock, and rotate it 90 degrees clockwise.

Step 2

A) Insert the SmartKey tool fully and firmly into the SmartKey hole.

B) Remove the SmartKey tool and the current key.

Step 3

A) Fully insert your new key into the lock and rotate it 180 degrees.

B) Rotate the new key 90 degrees back to the starting position, and remove it. Your lock is now re-keyed to your new key, and your old key will no longer operate the lock.

Answer:	It must be kwikset style but can be made by anyone. Will not Work with Schlage style keys.
Question:	I must have a Six Tumbler lock sylinder for matching my door lock. Does this unit have five or six tumblers
