User questions & answers

Question: If i install the adaptor before the regulator for the rv propane will i need another regulator if i used the 5’ or 12’ hose to connect to 100 lb tank
Answer: The 5’ hose does have the thumbwheel. The 12’ hose does not. At least on the one I received.
Question: Some of the photos of this 59123 tee kit show a thumbwheel on the 5' hose pol end and some do not. which is it
Answer: I always use tape whether it needs it or not. I saves me time by not having to do it twice. I recommend it.
Question: The instructions say that tape not required. Do you recommend using the yellow tape with PTFE for the connections minus the one 1/4" flare fitting
Answer: The two hoses shown are for two different purposes, one 12' is to hook to a grill or appliance, the 5' hose is to use to connect to another propane supply tank as a backup to your existing tank. I would recommend buying a longer hose than the 5' one, you can purchase longer ones on Amazon, make sure you get the same fittings as the 5' hose shown.
Question: can two hoses be connected together
Answer: No, sinks do not have standard garden hose threads. However, we do make an adapter that you can thread into your sink and then connect a the water hose. Here is a link to the adapter. http://www.amazon.com/Camco-40083-Faucet-Adapter/dp/B000BGK2HE?ie=UTF8&keywords=camco%20faucet%20adapter&qid=1460389232&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1

User questions & answers

Question: Can you use a 5-gallon propane heater in the house
Answer: First off Heaters don't contain propane, Tanks do, If You are asking if You can use a 20lb Tank (4.7 Gallon) in a house the answer is NO. Never Use or Store any propane larger than 1 lb (camping size) indoors. Anything that burns gives of CO, Carbon Monoxide, CO is Deadly..Make sure to have a working CO detector also, They Expire.
Question: Will 2 or 3 these stack / nest compactly for storage when not in use
Answer: My tank would not fit in his, it is a little small. But to answer your question they should stack.
Question: How much does this increase the height of the cylinder
Answer: As far as I can tell it doesn't. it fits right in th center and does not increase the height only the width. It stablizes the tank.
Question: Is this holder sturdy? I love the price but wondered about the qulity
Answer: I bought a couple of these holders and they aren't exactly the thickest of plastic and it does take 2 hands and straight downward pressure to get the tank in the holder. If they last a couple yeas or so, that's ok. There are sturdier ones on the market but then so is the price.

Question: Why does the website say it is manufactured by Camco but the tag on it says Ningbo
Answer: This item is manufactured in China
Question: Question for those that have had cracks/leaks after a year or two: are your lpg tanks under a black tank cover or not covered at all
Answer: Mine are under the factory plastic cover. I bought this hose in Sept. of 2018 and It start leaking recently around the pressed fitting going to the regulator. There were no dry rot cracks. It did leak out most of a 30lb full tank of propane though, not happy about that. It lasted for almost 2.5 years. Not sure what the expected lifespan is.
Question: I just purchased a "12" from rv supply and the hose length is 10 inches. is the hose on this one really 12 inches long or overall
Answer: I am not sure about the 12" hose. I bought the 30" hose and the overall length is 33.25". Hope that helps.
Question: When I remove the green fitting from the tank is the check valve supposed to keep the system pressure? When disconnected it leaks out
Answer: You are supposed to switch over the selector lever/knob on your regulator before removing hose from empty tank. Check valves can be more problems than they are worth. Just switch the lever/knob and move on.

User questions & answers

Question: How much of an offset is it
Answer: .70” diameter for the cuff, Cable is .45” diameter.
Question: What diameter hole do these go into
Answer: My surge protector has a flat metal piece with two holes, one on the protector and the other for a security cable. However, the cable will not fit thru the hole, so I got a padlock that does. The power cable does fit thru the pad lock , but does not slip thru. Now the surge protector can be secured against theft.
Question: What is the length of the latch from center hole to end
Answer: This is a heavy duty steel cable with a plastic coating. I’m sure that with big enough bolt cutters it could be compromised. But that’s true about most any crime prevention device.
Question: How do I measure to know what size I need? Am I measuring the key hole? Or the bolt on the back? Also, if I am making a new hole does it matter
Answer: It’s very hard to open the door for the first time. It took several of my children to get it to open. Then it looked itself up and I had to return it. The second one came with a broken door. Luckily it had the screws in it. And the override key taped to the outside. Once mounted it was easy to set up a code following the instructions.
